About the Book:- The book is heavy as it contains more than 1000 pages so please place it on a desk or lap while reading it.- The paper quality is good for money and font sizes are adequate to read.- The bookmark ribbon length is not enough especially while crossing the pages after 700. I guess it should be placed in the middle of the book to get sufficient length. (This is need to be addressed in next editions)About the story:As everyone says Kalki's writing is always an unique and this novel will not disappoint you from the beginning to the end. Kalki was narrated this story with his deep and depth research and he has added various fictional characters as well same as Ponniyin selvan. Those interested on Historic novel reading can buy and read it and this book is also another treasure same as Ponniyin Selvan.

Quality of book is good, clear print and binding. I hope this will be good for many years. Want to have kalki's book in my collection.it is a good buy.

அமரர் கல்கி அவர்களின் எழுத்தும் வர்ணனையும் ஏழாம் நூற்றாண்டுக்கே நம்மை அழைத்துச் செல்கிறது. வாசிக்கும் போது புத்தகத்தை கீழே வைக்க மனம் வரவில்லை. முற்றும் வாசிக்கும் வரை உலகையே மறந்தேன்.பதிப்பகத்தார் ஆங்காங்கே காணப்படும் எழுத்து பிழைகளை களைந்தால், படிக்கும் அனுபவம் இன்னும் பிரமாதமாக இருக்கும்.

Superb writing, the writing style was simply amazing. The story will make you feel like it all happened as like this, as it all was merged with real people and most importantly when the book was written more than 70 years ago, the author has known all the characters individually and their own history. Nowadays, it was easy with Internet and wiki, but before 70 years it really needs a lot of reading and ground work as to know all the characters life history. Knowing every one's life history and their own words, sayings, and songs and merging and blending in the right areas is simply outstanding. Knowing the characters individual life history will also surprise you how accurately he merged those characters in his book. A must read...
