I purchased this item 2 sizes bigger than I usually wear and it fit fine. I am 5'4 and even for me it was short in the torso and legs. It may fit a 5'5 but I think if your any taller than that you may have a problem. I also heard some stitching come undone as I was trying it on so I'm not sure it will last.
