Easy to install, I do not have a max air vent. I have standard vent and put this right over it and the original garnish. It worked flawlessly. Block some sun, heat and coldness, not total blackout, but still works great.

Really like having a LED light by the fan. This attached perfectly to our new Maxxair Plus fan. Its brighter than I was expecting it to be. The description gave me the impression it would be more like a dim night light, in reality its just as bright as the normal RV ceiling light in my bathroom. Installation is very easy, just a little cumbersome trying to hold the fan shroud up while putting it on, the way the frame snaps in also has me wondering if I ever hit a bump going down the road it may pop off and just be hanging by the wires, but that hasn’t happened yet. It does make for a neat and clean looking install not having any screw heads exposed. The spring tension on the shade portion seems excessive, it really snaps open fast if it gets away from you while opening it. Overall, we would absolutely buy this again and recommend it to anyone, it looks so much nicer than just the fan hole on the ceiling and the LED lighting is excellent.

I wanted to add one of these to my bathroom fan to block off the uv light from going through my Maxxair bathroom smoke vent to help with the summer heat in Texas. The install was straightforward, and easy. 2 people doing the install would be ideal, but with only one doing it, like I was, was just a little more time consuming and awkward then it would have been with 2. The light is nice, the slide is useful as long as you connect it correctly and don't let it slip through your fingers. Nice product.

We love this cover. It blocks so much heat and light. However, two things: 1) installation and wiring instructions a re vague. Find a YouTube video. 2) after a couple of months, ours will randomly let go of the closing tabs and spring open. I assume it's from the heat and tiny size of the tabs and receiving side of the sliding cover just letting go. Worth the small inconvenience though.

Can’t close it because the manual vent handle is in the way…… it’s absolutely the flimsiest trash
