Mark Twain's classic comic novel in a wonderfully packaged volume, A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court is essentially one of those books that will crack you up everytime you read it. And I mean, it WILL crack you up for sure. I had read the book in its abridged format as a child and was thoroughly amused, and I picked this up in its complete format because much like the phenomenally funny works by Jerome K Jerome, I cannot resist Twain's works either. If you are in the search for some classic witticisms, look no further. You have arrived at the right place.

This is probably the first time I have read about time travel in Twain's books. He writes with his usual wit turning the most banal of stories into most interesting ones. Hank's character has been described as something which will put a lot of people in dilemma about what needs to be done with him. Twain, as usual, has taken a very smart stance on the events in the book by not taking either sides and leaving it to the reader to determine whether this power tussle was worth it or not. Another keeper from Twain.
