Case is made of brushed metal which feels a lot better than plastic. I like using hand cream and I find the plastic case tends to feel greasy after handling. The metal case have a rough surface which I find much better grip and handling.The case does not hinder any operation of the pods, it comes with silicone protectors for the buds but I chose not to use it as it adds weight to the buds and I don't like bulk. With the metal case it feels indestructible but I am not going to test that out any time soon.

 The case works well to protect from airpods from getting scratched. At the bottom, there is the charge hole so no need to remove the case out while charging the airpods. There are cover accessories coming with the case to help keep the airpods staying in ears while when working out. There are many accessories, but I found the carabiner is very helpful for me, so now the case can be easily hooked to a bag. Very good product.
