Would this chick work on the champion AC50 model ?

Hello,As long as it uses the standard 3/4" weldon shank and has enough travel to use the chuck than it should work.

will still fit a hougen 904?

This fits in place of a slugger type bit.It should fit any mag drill that uses standard hollow core slugger type bits

Can you use a regular 9/16 drill bit in it?

Yes. The chuck opening is 5/8", so if the bit measures below 5/8" it will fit. If it's above 5/8" it will not fit. Let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns.

What's the actual working heighth of the chuck after it's in the drill stem, weldon shank in the drill stem? How deep is the throat ?
