the same cover fits both the 120 and 103 long pools?

Mine is the 120". Tightening the rope should make it fit a smaller one just fine.

I was planning on making a pool into a sand box. Does this cover keep out water?

Why not put something in the sandbox that would make it not able to collapse in the middle and pool water. Like maybe a huge beach ball or toddler chair or whatever, that makes the cover slope downwards. Just a thought.
