The best red plastic baseplate for hilift jack money can buy!
Well OK, it's probably the only one, but still!Thick, well made, jack base fits securely, what else could you need?Fits perfectly into the bottom of a milk crate, which I have packed with all of my recovery gear, making a simple, easy to carry offload rescue kit.

Works in muddy fields
I am a farmer who uses pivot irrigation systems to water my crops. Occasionally a tire will go flat and I'll have to jack the pivot up and replace the tire. It's a challenge in a wet field because it's straight mud and the jack will sink indefinitely into the ground rather than lift the heavy pivot.I've used a board but the board will sometimes slip around and it makes for a sketchy situation.I love this base for use to support the jack while changing tires; it's solid, stable, and only sinks a little ways into the ground. It is also heavy duty material that I believe will last a very long time.

Heavy duty plastic, great for other jacks as well.
This fits my Hi Lift perfectly and really spreads out the surface area making it easier to lift my truck or trailer. I also use it on my 10k trailer jack. It keeps it from sinking into the mud or snow. There is a built in serrated edge to help clear out gravel and debris from the area where the jack will go. I haven’t used it for that yet but I see no reason why it wouldn’t work well. The plastic is very heavy duty and hasn’t shown any signs of failure in the half dozen times I’ve used it so far. All in all a great addition to your High Lift accessory kit for a reasonable price.

Off road base, prevents sinking NOT slipping!
This is for the off road base. It works well for OFF ROAD use. It clearly states this is an OFF ROAD base. This item is NOT intended to be used on concrete or similar type roads. This is a hard base, using high grade hard plastic. The intention and purpose of this base is NOT to keep ur jack from slipping, but to keep your jack from SINKING in mud, sand and other soft soils and snow. DO NOT use on ice or concrete etc.For ice I have used a piece of 1/2" plywood that is 1" larger then this base, put 1x1 screwed into plywood around it, and so the base doesn't slip out, then embedded a dozen nails through the plywood bottom so that they protrude on the oppose side about 1/8" inch. This is a great item if you find yourself going off road over mud, sand, soft soil or snow!I am glad that it doesn't come with a bolt and a wing but as several others wished it had. I wouldn't have used it and it would be a waste of our natural resources to provide me a piece of hardware I don't need.If you want to attach it to your jack, get a 5/8" 4.5" bolt and a wing nut. It's less than $2

This is a really good product - much bigger and thicker/more rugged than the pics make it look. But it's beyond me why they couldn't include a bolt and wing nut to mount it to the hi-lift jack as shown in the pictures. The few cents a cheap (it's not load-bearing) mounting bolt would add would save those minutes going to the hardware store to get the same. So strange. One thing the description doesn't make clear is the serrated edges. The instructions say it's to let the unit be used as a scraper/trowel to even out uneven ground. The product is a little awkward to use that as a "planned thing" but it's a nice touch as a backup to a regular trail shovel.

A beach driving necessity
Anyone who's ever tried to pack off-road gear into a Wrangler knows that it's a bit of a Tetris game - for the size of the vehicle, there really isn't a lot of room to put things inside (a reverse Tardis, if you like). One of the requirements in most places - and a good idea anywhere - for beach driving is a solid base to put your jack on to spread the weight on the sand, lest your bottle jack buries itself along with the vehicle. This base not only stabilizes the foot of the Hi-Lift, but my surplus bottle jack base slips in perfectly, so no matter which jack I have to use for the situation at hand, I'm better protected than I would be with nothing - and this solid plastic base is going to be easier to take care of long term than the ratty piece of Baltic birch plywood I was using before. Highly recommended.

Hi-Jack Must Have
I really don't know why anyone would own a lift without this...if you get in anything soft and don't happen to have a suitable backer you're toast. I've only had to use my jack a handful of times but one of those was in deep sane and without it I'm not sure I would have got out. Even something simple like leveling out the RTT is made way easier. For the price, there is no downside
