Acting in Restoration Comedy (Applause Acting Series)

Imperative reading for any actor or director tackling this period. Expressed with elegance, specificity, and humour. A very useful book indeed.

As an English teacher interested in Restoration Comedy, I thought this would be wonderful. It's not. It's Simon Callow giving guidance to would be actors... not what I expected. If you are an actor - it's for you - Callow is excellent.

A good introduction to the topic but not as detailed as I'd hoped.

Exactly what I was expecting!
