There are probably hundreds of varieties of Philodendron, all of them members of the Arum family. The best known is the Monstera, also called the Swiss cheese plant. The philodendrons occur naturally in South America. The plants are strong and do well in the shade, so they’re ideal houseplants. The Xanadu doesn’t have holes like the well-known Monstera, but long indentations in the leaf.

Care recommendation

It’s important for the philodendron that the soil is moist. Check the dampness of the soil every five days and adjust the amount of water accordingly. Place the plant half in the sun, half in the shade. Be careful with direct sunlight, especially in the afternoon.
