It works really good! Very happy with the results
My dogs have dogs made a mess of matching Ashley leather sofas only a couple years into ownership. Ashley would not cover the repairs so I had to fix it myself. The loveseat had a discolored stain on the armrest and the cushion had a bunch of small scratches on it from the dogs digging. The sofa had a tear in it down to the backing (but not poked through) from dog claw marks. I mixed the colors like the instructions specify, and got the color match right on the second try using the supplied test piece of leather.Picture 1 shows the discolor/ stain repair I did on the loveseat armrest. The before picture is on the left-side and the right-side of the image shows a closeup after 1 dried coating, It’s BARELY noticeable now after only 1 color coating!Picture 2 shows the small tear on the full size sofa cushion. I first used the supplied adhesive to glue the tear down, then applied the filler, then color matched it. Going to sit on the sofa you can’t tell there was a repair, it just looks like a crease in the leather. The sofa has a lot of creases anyhow so it looks fairly natural. Way better than a torn flap of leather!I’m really happy with the results and would definitely buy it again!

Elmer's glue, at best
My first impression was how small the kit actually is, I purchased it for the use on three different couch issues and only bought because I thought kit could handle all three. Right off the bat the filler they give was too liquid for one of my applications. I needed something to actually build up texture on one of my surfaces. So, the kit "worked" for one small tear I had on a smooth leather bed. Much like Elmers glue, I applied it to the ripped fabric, I tried applying the paper, but it was apparent that the paper would just pull off more of the leather tear, so I reapplied the glue/filler and will wait the 24 hours before color. Its a smooth surface, so I am expecting it will have the best results. No way I can use it on my bigger problem, so going back to the drawing board and probably now buy some kind of covering tape

Seems to work
I had a very tiny hole (1/4 inch) in my Pilates Reformer vinyl cushion. I wanted to repair this hole before it got too large. The hole was in a corner of the cushion where the vinyl is gathered. Following the directions, I stuffed the tiny hole with the Backing Fabric included with the repair kit. I then placed the Leather Filler into the hole and around the outside of the hole. Then I placed the Grain Texture Release Paper on top of the wet Filler (the hole was so small I really didn't need to use this texture paper). After 24 hours I removed the Texture Release Paper. The area is a little rough, but the repair is in an area where it doesn't matter. I didn't bother with applying color, since the Pilates cushion is a very light tan color and as I just said, really isn't in an area that shows. For me it seems to have done the job. The proof will be how it will hold up when I start my daily use of my Pilates Reformer.

Disappointed
I was very excited about this product. It appeared the company stood behind what they made. It took some effort and was a long process. I wasn’t able to match my color but I didn’t care. I just painted a larger area to blend it in and disguise it a little. I was very happy at first. Then within the week the patch started flaking off. And now the hole I repaired as ripped wide open again!!!! I went to the website and submitted a help form which said they would be in contact in 2 days… well, I haven’t heard anything! I would love if the seller/company would reach out to me after reading this review. I need some help. Thanks!

AMAZING
Our faux leather couch started pealing so I thought I would try to repair it rather than buy new..as you can see from the photos this product really works excellent. I followed the directions that were enclosed and we are totally satisfied with the results. I did send before and after photos to Scott at The Original Liquid Leather. He called me within seconds to ask how it all went. I told him how easy the whole process was and how pleased we are. He was surprised that I was able to match the color so well..I paint and mix colors all the time so it really wasn't a problem for me. However, he did say that he receives many calls for help in color mixing and he is always available for helping with that or any other problems that arise. As I said, I had no problem so I can't imagine there being problems with this excellent product. So I have no problem giving five stars...if I could give more I would. Also, one of the reasons I did choose this when there were so many leather repair kits available was it was made in the USA. I would recommend this product/company to anyone for quality, customer service, and it's made in the USA.

Lacking Quality Materials
Its seems simple enough to use, but when you go to matching colors, its impossible to make a matching color and the website to match the color doesn't work, because you can take a sample from anywhere in the photo and the color mixture is different. The filler and colors smell like Elmers Glue and I'm sure that's what it is as it dries on your fingers and anywhere else the same as Elmers Glue. I'm only giving 2 starts because I was able to make a good contact on the back of our card table with a backing material, but I wonder how long that will last since its only being bonded with Elmers Glue.
