Do these pet scales have a none slip base? My cat is over 7kg.

No my rabbit and puppy slip on it, I bought a rubber Matt and stuck it on all fine now

The other response is wrong. It only does 10g increments (i.e. kilograms to two decimal places)

Is this suitable for small newborn puppies?

I am sure this will be good for your pups. Remember you can put something on the scales that’s heavier and secure to put pup in then subtract after weighing pup . I use mine to weigh my 5 small dogs (2.40kg - 6.60kg) and it is accurate as I have checked on the Vets scales. I recommend putting the scales back in the box after use as although very accurate they are only plastic. I have had mine for over a year and I am still happy with them.
