These are perfect for school lunches and road trips when you want to keep your stuff cool. They don't get as sweaty as other cold packs and they are far more thin than anything I have ever used before. Since they are segmented, you can wrap them around an item with ease. They take up less space in the freezer than traditional reusable cold packs. You don't have to lost valuable lunchbox space because these mats lie underneath the food and you just pile everything on top, zip up the lunch bag, and everything stays cold.It won't break your toe if you happen to drop it while prepping lunches, either. Which to be honest, I am usually grabbing these things out of the freezer at 6am for school lunches and have dropped them a few times. No damage to my toes and the ice mats don't get hurt, either. My kids say their lunches stay cold, which means they are keeping perishables nice and chill for about 6 hours. We live in a very hot climate and most cold packs don't keep things cold for very long. These work great and I intend to buy another set of 6 just in case someone loses their lunchbox at school. They have held up very well, no leaks, no problems, just cold lunches day after day. I love it when I find something reliable and these are consistently perfect for our needs.

I have sought out these ice packs because they are perfect for lunch boxes. I prefer them to other styles since they can lay flat or can wrap around items, are slim for fitting in lunchbox and do not cause any water leakage when they melt. They keep my items cold until lunchtime. They can eventually wear out, but they last a very long time with daily use and I did rebuy them because they work so well.

Bought these to use as a flexible ice pack for my husband to use post back surgery. We've had a few of the cells leak but other than that they've been just the right size to Ice the incision. They freeze up quickly but stay cold for a number of hours.

The very first time I purchased these ice packs I got them at Fresh & Easy grocery when they still existed. I liked that they were filled with water only and it was essentially keeping my son's lunch cold with ice cubes- no worries if they broke or oozed b/c it was just water and no chemicals. Since then I've ordered these same packs 2 more times on Amazon. There's a lot in the pack, they last for awhile and they totally serve their purpose, keeping lunches cold. Yes, eventually they deflated or pop with use over time, but then we just order new ones and we're all good. I highly recommend these ice packs if you're looking for a simple and worry free option.

The size is as stated and is perfect for our use — packing cold/frozen grocery purchases in a cooler for the ride home. Great size, well-made, stays frozen for a couple of hours or more. Love ‘em.

I use them for injuries and love them , because the conform to every part of the body and they come so many in an order and freeze quickly. When you have to ice 20 minutes off and on 6 times a day, they’re a no brainier. Love Em!!!

I've used these multiple times and no popped cells so far. My 2 year old daughter even kept poking one of the cells with her fingernail on one of the ice mats and it didn't pop. I was very impressed that the cell didn't pop. Tough plastic but these melt kinda fast. I am guessing it's because the cells are small. I've also purchased the Thermos 6 cube and 9 cube ice mats and used them with these ice mats. The Thermos ones stayed frozen longer than these mats BUT the Thermos mats start leaking after a few uses. If Icy Cools can make the cells a bit bigger like the Thermos ones, maybe it will stay frozen just as long as the Thermos ones. Overall, I really like these mats and they come in a pack of 6 or 12. Purified water is in these ice mats so even IF they do pop, you don't have to worry about that blue gel crap all over your bag and food.
