Anker iPhone 6 / 6s Battery Case [Apple MFi Certified] Premium Extended Battery Case for iPhone 6 / 6s (4.7 inch) with 3100mAh Capacity / 130% Extra Battery (Black)

I initially tried to get this product through the Anker website as a power user to test and write a review, but was unable to get the product in time when it was offered, and I needed another battery case as soon as possible.I have an iPhone 6S, and have tried multiple battery cases for this iPhone, and for an older iPhone 5S. Honestly, this is the best one of all of them! I had purchased Kidigi desktop dock charger cradle to use in the office and at home, that has the micro USB male connector already built into it. With the other battery cases, it was very hard to mate the phone to the cradle without fumbling around trying to mate the phone with the cradle, as the other battery cases had a recessed area where the male connector inserts into, making it hard to properly seat the micro USB into the phone (causing some improperly inserted connections, off center, etc.). The Anker iPhone 6s Battery Case is a very nice fit, the micro USB connection contained on the case is flush with the outside of the case (not recessed as much as the other battery cases).The case is rugged, although I haven't deliberately dropped it to test it, naturally. Mounting the iPhone into it was very simple, and is a snug fit. I have a 'Zagg' glass lens cover, and the case fits fine with it on the iPhone. The sound is sufficient through the openings, but then again, I don't mind, as I don't listen to music all that much, other than using the phone for white noise for music. They work fine for the speaker function when on phone calls, though.Also, unlike other battery cases I have had, the Anker batter case will charge up to 100% and show 4 white led lights showing that it is complete, whereas the others would not stop flashing, plus, when you would disconnect from the charging cable, the case would automatically connect and start to re-charge the phone. I would have to turn 'off' the battery charging the iPhone as soon as disconnecting from the cable. With the Anker battery case, when you disconnect the cable (or like my case, the dock), the Anker battery and phone are charged, and the Anker battery case is not pushing power to the iPhone's battery unless you push the little charge button on the battery case. This was VEry important to me.Overall, a very good product, and I would most highly recommend this to friends!

While the battery functions incredibly well, the case itself offers little protection. I NEVER drop my phone, though sure enough about a week after receiving my Anker battery case, I did. It fell about 2 1/2 ft to the sidewalk and the case completely popped off leaving my phone to drag a foot or so on the concrete. Thankfully I had a glass screen protector on my screen. However, it did chip the upper-right corner of my phone (the iPhone 6s glass runs all the way up to the edge of the device). As a spare battery this case is fantastic, but if you're looking for protection for your iPhone 6/6s this likely isn't the route you want to take. Unless you're comfortable super-gluing it on your device...

I bought this case thinking it would come in handy this summer for all the traveling and all day activities I would be partaking in such as day hikes, weekend trips and festivals. My phone always seems to die at the worst possible times (like at my college graduation this year) so I figured it was time to get an external battery for my phone and WOW this case surpassed my expectations. Its beautiful, thin, relatively light for the amount of power it packs and has a great feel and touch. I got compliments on it immediately the first day I put it on my phone and that was before people even knew it had an extended battery on it.The battery does give the extra 130% charge it claims. Only thing is it can take a while to charge back up. I really love that it uses a microusb because now I have the choice to charge my phone with either a microusb OR an apple charger which is fantastic. Overall Great buy.

With my iPhone 6 nearing two years of age, I've noticed a drop-off in battery life. Still, based on the rumors about a huge refresh next year instead of the normal every other year, I am less interested in getting a new phone right now. After doing a few hours(!) of research, I settled on this unit and am fairly pleased.It's very easy to install, though I felt the top part of the case didn't really want to come off when I first pulled it apart. I know this is good for when it's being used as intended, but I was concerned I'd break the thing while preparing it for use. Now it's in place with my phone inside and it's a good, solid fit.The case itself is a smooth matte black. It also isn't very tacky. I generally prefer cases with some tack because it helps hold the phone, but this case does not do that. The case is reasonably slim considering how much extra juice is packed in there, and it even adds a neat speaker chamber beneath the iPhone's native single speaker that pipes the sound forward, meaning the user no longer has to cup their hand around it or otherwise prevent blocking it.The lock button cover is nice and integrated, but the volume rockers feel brittle and a little cheap. The cutout for the mute switch is big enough to get my fingers in for the easy switch as well.The bottom of the case does extend far enough out that Anker has included a short headphone adapter to ensure your headphones aren't either too big for access or with a plug end too short to safely remove from the device. It's a nice consideration, but it interferes with in-line controls, so I stopped using it. I need to be able to pause as needed, and this complicated the process.More than anything else, I wanted a big battery that I could use to get my phone to give me more than half a day, and this does it. I can go an entire 24 hours without charging it, meaning I can plug it in at the office during the day and not have to plug it in again before bed or in the morning. Being able to press a button to restore my phone's battery is very convenient, and the unit is priced well here at Amazon.
