This worked to put a magnetic mount antenna on an aluminum truck. My antenna was small. Nor sure it would work with a large antenna.

This is perfect as I have a 2017 Ford F-150 XLT Supercrew with an all aluminum body.Used these mounts along the bed rails with some reenforced "Gorrila Tape" to ensure they would not come off, I placed 2 Mag Mount antennas and I am set.

The coating on the plate is well made. The plate is thick enough not to warp or bend. After several thousand miles of highway speed, it still performs like new. It also went through some horrendous rain storms. I was doubtful of the tape that was used, but if you clean the surface that it's going to be attached to, and use alcohol pads to further clean it, it will hold firmly.

Tried those weak cell phone magic mounts, a couple magnets underneath through the 3rd brake light mount, etc. This hard-to-find 3x3" adhesive plate does the job. Clean the roof surface with alcohol, press it on with the adhesive strips and let it cure a couple hours in the sun. Antenna sticks like glue to 85mph.I'd buy several hundred and make a killing on them at Ford dealers or aftermarket.

it is great for aluminum or none magnetic vehicles body specially for work trucks. Drivers usually leave it on and drive with it above 100km/h for hours. It is perfect.
