I honestly don't know if this mater is working correctly. The brix (S01) percentage value seem to be accurate. But when I switch the scale to S02, the TDS scale value is always 1.3333.... and the temp doesn't change either. I've been using the S01 value to gauge my cold brew coffee, but I'm contemplating returning it.

The first time I tried to use this refractometer it displayed the error code for a "hardware failure". Also, I noticed that there was another refractometer for coffee that looked the same as this one and the two reviews that were posted stated hardware failures.

Product claims to be a coffee refractometer, yet lacks the tds mode necessary to measure coffee in the industry standard scale. Fine for measuring sugar solutions or other solutions that standardize on the Brix scale, but next to useless for coffee.

Much cheaper than other refractometers available. Works well but needs lower sensitivity.

Great product! Especially for the price. Sometimes the readings can fluctuate which is hard to determine what is the accurate reading. But, overall a good refractometer
