I had ordered this a few weeks ago. I had put it up and it looked really nice. I usually don’t write reviews but I am writing this because I want others to be aware of what happened to one of my chinchillas. He had gotten tangled in it somehow and got himself wrapped and twisted up in it around his neck. I was very sad and upset when I found him hanging from this. 😢😢. I removed it immediately cause I didn’t want something terrible to happen to the other too. I know it was an accident and probably very unlikely to happen again but I wanted people to be aware. I’m very saddened for my chinchilla as he lost his life. 😢

We really like this addition to our guinea pig's habitat. It was easy to set up and she loved it right away. I like that it doesn't take up too much space moving out from the edges of the cage but still provides her with plenty of privacy and room to move around. Will certainly purchase again in the future! Highly satisfied.

In my cage it happens to hang down low So within the first few minutes of hanging it down and my guinea pig going into it and she peed from that point on it needed to be washed so it's a constant thing of it needing to go in the water and there's no way for me to shorten it up and I don't want to cut it because I am hoping to get a different age I don't know I think it might be a little on the flimsy side it's not exactly what I expected but it works so in that case I get I don't know that it was worth the money but it is usable. I would suggest yes people can buy it I wouldn't say no. Since I've made this initial review I have purchased a C&C cage and this fleece Hideout works perfect in a C&C cage just not in the other cages that they claim are good for guinea pig cages. So I would not use this unless you're using it in a C&C cage.

Guinea pigs are a prey animal so they need lots of places they can run and hide. The fleece forest hideout is easy to put on and may be adjusted depending on how your cage is set up. My piggies love playing "tag" and one of thier favorite place my biys like to run to is the hideout.

This is a horrible idea. Not thinking it would ever happen at the time i purchased it, but 1 mnth later, my Chinchilla hung herself with this item. The fringes got wrapped around her neck somehow and she was hanging. Thank God I noticed it time to save her life. I removed it from the cage. Please ,Please don't get this for any pet.

Let me start by saying I do like this and my Guinea pigs love it. They like to hang out underneath it. For the cage that I have it doesn't seem like a great fit. The hooks that hold it in place are huge so it falls down a bit unless you really spread it. I dont think there is much of a need for these huge hooks. I will be changing them to smaller ones. It's a very good size and gives them plenty of hiding area. I will be ordering another, but will be looking for one with smaller hooks. Definitely recommend for anyone with guinea pigs.

I gave this a three star because the hooks were very hard to open up and to stay closed. It only has the front side closed and not the other two sides which our guinea pig doesn’t seem to like that cold air gets in the other two sides. We put our house back in cage because it’s not strong enough for our guinea pig to get up on (he sags on top of it) , and he likes to sit on his house. Overall it’s ok and not for replacing a house in which we thought maybe we could. Doesn’t give him much room if you add this and his house back in cage.

My guinea pig loves it so much he was popcorning! Would hide behind the curtains to munch on his hay and probably does his pee pee as well.
