Money Well Spent!
What a fantastic bargain. I always wanted a tablet, but wanted to wait for pocket calculator prices (anyone who was a live in the 1970s understands, the rest, ask your elders). I lusted after some of the clones coming in from China, but some of the mail order houses had iffy reputations. A cheap tablet, from a name manufacturer on Amazon? This is the perfect storm.Another reason I wanted a cheap android tablet is Chromecast. I just bought one, and use it a lot, but I didn't want to wear out my phone as a remote control. The A1000L is fast, doesn't weigh much, and runs all my favorite applications. The Wifi connection is good and it holds on to the Chromecast connection much better than my phone did! As a reading device using the Kindle app it's fantastic. I have to wonder why this wouldn't be a better option than a Paperwhite! The scrolling and swiping are quick. The screen is nice and clear, great for YouTube videos. Gaming runs nicely. I also like using mobile apps like Facebook on the larger 7" screen. One thing that is missing (and seems to be from all of the new tablets) is a full sized USB port. I wanted to plug my Clear USB stick for mobile broadband in. However, I ordered a micro USB to standard USB female adapter and we'll see if that works (cost less than a dollar). Also there is no Bluetooth. I found this to be a problem after I bought a soundbar which could accept wireless audio. No doubt I can simply add a Bluetooth dongle.

Great Low End Tablet for the Price
I bought 34 of these to take to Africa for a mission trip. I was able to set them up and deliver them with a sstandard image. The price point, performance and features were right on the mark. For us this was the long promised $100 African computer. I did have three of them go crazy during training they got in a diagnostic mode I couldn't get out of. I'm not sure that they did to kick into this mode. I never had this issue with the one I used for several months. However I let them run dead and then recharge them and they worked fine. We loaded them up with videos, audio files, images and PDF books. All this content was put on a 16GB micro SD card. The deployment went well and we were able to train all of the Africans to use them in about ½ hour. We will see how they hold up in harsh environments with poor power quality. I was impressed with the price point and overall quality. Keep up the good work Lenovo.

worth it !!!
I have to say, the tablet was a pleasant surprise. I purchased a galaxy tab 3 for my daughter for Xmas and this lenovo is nearly as good. In fact the battery life is longer and it lighter than the galaxy. The O.S is the same too. The biggest difference is; I paid 180 dollars for the galaxy and only 90 dollars for the lenovo.I've owned numerous tablets and this tablet was the best value. It runs Netflix without issueThe sound is excellent.Picture quality is adequate for a 7 inch tablet.Connects to my WiFi easily, and it navigates pages quickly.Preloaded with numerous APS , including Google play !!Doesn't feel cheaply made.Don't hesitate buying this tablet, you won't be disappointed.

Worked great at first, then quit entirely in less than 3 weeks
I really liked this while it worked. I used it for taking notes in class, and I used apps that were required for class. I never allowed the battery to be fully discharged before recharging because I know that can cause issues. I had been studying with it, plugged it in at 14% power left, and went to bed for the night. It had been working up to that point with no issues. In the morning, I tucked it in my backpack and headed to class. When I went to turn it on, nothing. It would not turn on. I plugged it back in and charged it for another 24 hours, still nothing; it wouldn't even turn on. It's a good thing I always have "emergency" pen and paper, and send all my notes as an email to myself to be sure I can access them from more than one location.I am replacing this with a Nexus that hopefully does a better job of working.

Excellent Tablet
This is a great Little device. I purchased this tablet for work purposes. It is a simple tablet, nothing fancy, but it works great. I use this tablet at work for schematics and operations manuals on the go. I am an industrial electronics technician and I carry this everywhere I go. I pull up all my PDF files in seconds with the office pro app. It has an excellent battery life and a excellent screen that can be viewed nicely in any angle without the image fading. I don't really use it at home but I did test its video capabilities and it does an excellent job. I did have a Lil choppiness when viewing HD movies on it. I would recommend the Lenovo A1000 instead if someone plans on using it for streaming since it has 1 gig of ram for 20 bucks more. I would highly recommend this tablet, It gives you what you pay for and more. Keep in mind that this does not have a rear camera, the front camera is terrible, and it does not have Bluetooth. I have seen some bad reviews because of these 3 flaws I noted, but come on it's a 100 dollar tablet. From a reliable company. I hope my review was useful, and yes it has google play.
