It has capacity to hold a lot of paper, it expands to about 8-10” wide or so. I’d say at least 100+ sheets.

Q: Can it close in its expanded mode? Because I have a ton of papers and rather not have the lid thing popping up.

It expands very wide with a lot of pockets, it has a button closure at the bottom front with elastic that go around the button to keep it close.
