As others have said, this appears to be the highest quality hose out there. It doesn't kink, and winds beautifully. It even looks nice. It kind of feels like it could be a fireman's hose (to somebody who knows nothing about actual fire hoses - so no offense to firemen). Because of the higher strength, unlike with the basic green hoses, you need to employ the hand brake on your Eley reel when storing the hose...otherwise it tends to unwind itself due to the "spring back" when coiled.Yes, it's a lot more money, but I expect this to last longer and there's something to be said about having a tool that you are happy with. Even the decent green "Apex" hoses need to be replaced every few years (or less) in my experience. Some of the other big box brands are even worse. So I recommend buying this if you have an Eley reel.

Good quality hose. Doesn't kink but find that it's a little less forgiving when trying to position the sprayer in my hand. Also, I find using a damp rag when winding the hose prevents it from grabbing my skin i.e it's not slippery like a less expensive vinyl hose.

It was time to get a new hose and of course my search ended at Amazon. I viewed a dozen hoses while looking for the perfect one and read a ton of reviews. It was only after I stumbled on a review that I learned that lots of water hoses are made with a chemical that can be extremely harmful. Imagine that, our wonderful government allowing products to be manufactured that are lethal in some cases! Luckily, I stumbled on this polyurethane hose from Rapid Reel Corporation. I have always purchased quality over quantity and this hose is no exception. It might sound crazy to purchase a hose this expensive, but I assure you that it is well worth the price. It is extremely flexible and and of extreme high quality. I can't think of anything that is negative. Most products in this country are only getting cheaper and cheaper in quality, but this hose is the bomb. I highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed.

Lightweight and strong. The only problem is the hose is "sticky" to itself making it difficult to pull it tight on the reel if there is any slack. Rubber hoses are more durable and kink resistant than this but come with a significant weight penalty.

My favorite hose. It's expensive and well worth it. Not as heavy as other hoses, durable and of very good quality. It does have a mind of it's own if it's not unrolled correctly, but is easily straightened. I now own about 5 of these in varying lengths.

This is the best hose I have owned and this will clearly last for years to come which I can't say for the many others I have bought over time. While this hose can kink when you really get it twisted it does seem to resist it as much as I guess a hose could. The finish doesn't hold dirt and the connectors are very high quality. Eley is a great brand you can trust.

I had a difficult time trying to wind it up nicely on the hose reel. It was not laying down nicely against the previous wind, but riding up over top of it instead because of being "sticky on itself", borrowing a term written by a previous comment from someone. I resolved this by wiping it down with ArmorAll. This helped a lot, but I should not have wiped the last six feet or so. It's now slippery to hold. I saw another suggestion somewhere that wetting it down helps with winding.As far a using it, the loops that form in my driveway just disappear when I pull on it. My other hose would have just kinked instead. I was thinking it would stick to the driveway and be hard to pull around, but not so. No concerns there, maybe the ArmorAll contributed to that, not sure.The fittings are top notch. I don't feel like this is ever going to leak or go bad, which was my main reason for buying this hose. I don't like having to buy a new hose every few years.This hose has no swivel in the nozzle end fitting. I recommend getting some quick disconnects. I miss the swivel action that my last hose had where the nozzle screws on. Without it, wherever it tightens up at is where you have to use it. It may point the wrong way and then you have to rotate a length of hose to point where you want. I'd rather replace a leaking disconnect than an entire hose anyway. I didn't get them yet. Eley makes them, but I don't see them on the Amazon website yet. My search is on for some kind of quick disconnect.

I recently decided to give my garden equipment an over-due upgrade. I purchased this hose because I read good things about the quality of the product. Sure enough, I wasn't disappointed. The hose is light but durable, and doesn't kink. I'm using it along with am Eley wall mounted hose reel and the two go hand in hand.The higher price tag is worth the quality and convenience. I don't think I'll be frustrated with a garden hose for a while now.
