Digital Meat Thermometer - BBQ - Grilling - Cooking - 7“ Plus Stainless Steel Probe - Easy To Read Display

This thermometer is OK in most respects except that its response time is about twice as long as two of the other three 8 inch probe thermometers that were purchased at the same time. Time was about 12 to 13 seconds compared to 5 to 7 seconds for the others.This is likely unimportant in many applications but when holding it over a hot grill to measure the temperature of steaks for example it can get very hot on the fingers.And while the large control head with its large digital number readout is nice to have especially in low light conditions its extra weight and offset from the center of the probe causes it to want to tip over more readily if not held when inserted in steaks and other thin items compared to the other 8 inch thermometers with smaller, lighter heads.I had hoped this might be the best one of the four I tried. Disappointing.

This arrived with a battery in the package, so assuming I had to place the battery in it, I removed the battery cover. There was already a battery in it.After spending 45 min. trying to replace the cover, I succeeded in breaking off both retaining tabs. In my defense, they are very thin. This made the thermometer useless. I had not decided how I was going to proceed with this, when I received an email from the seller asking how I liked it. I replied that I couldn't answer and explained what happened. The seller issued an immediate, as they were out of stock.I would not buy this product again but, I will definitely not hesitate to do business with this seller again

Very happy with this meat thermometer. Fast delivery and it came with a handy meat temperature guide and an extra battery. The packaging looks really nice and so does the thermometer. I was a little surprised by how big the digital readout was but it makes it really easy to see what the temperature is. I would definitely recommend this to others.
