Great purchase, decided to get two, answer to prayers
I love this collar. The sizing chart was kinda off for my dog, but the large ended up fitting perfectly. Didn't even have to adjust it. It is made from strong material, and the color is lovely. I ordered it in pink then blue. The pink made it through a day at the doggy park, but it got so dirty, I prefer to just take it off. I take her old nylon collar for play. Probably more appropriate for playing anyway, so that another dog can't grab on and potentially choke her. A couple of washes with baking soda and laundry detergent on regular cycle wrapped in a towel returned it to normal. Be careful with the metal part, though, mine has a touch of gold to it too. A bowl of warm water and baking soda a d a scrubbing toothbrush also worked for cleaning it. It has been great for training my 50 lb lab mix pup, good for firm but humane corrections when she gets out of control. A firm jerk on the leash also causes the chain to make a sound, which immediately gets her attention. It also gives me a firmer handle on her than the regular collar. It also does not loosen when she pulls like the regular collar did; she is still a pup amd is curious about every blade of grass. She cannot slip out when she pulls back, and THANK JESUS FOR THAT!!! Good for her safety.

A quality product
I've purchased this brand of collar in the past and it lasted for many years, with some very playful dogs that like to get dirty. The martingale version, which I purchase for my pit mix and my boxer, is gentle, but still adds a little leverage. They are well trained and walk well on a leash for the most part. I personally wouldn't suggest a martingale for a brand new untrained dog as it's not the collar that gets the results, it's the training.

OK
My trainer suggested this collar. It's like every trainer we go through, they recommend a collar. I have so many collars and harnesses sitting in our closet. We decided to keep this one instead of switching it out so much since it's really annoying to move his dog tag. Here is a comparison of all the collars and harnesses I have purchased over the course of 3 months.Back harnesses: Good for dogs that do not pull on walks. Difficult to control dog. Good for guide dogs.Front harnesses: Great for dogs that pull on walks. Easy to control direction you want to lead your dog. If you walk your dog behind your legs or to your side and they are not reactive, this would be the best bet for you. My favorite of the 4 I purchased but unfortunately is not for my reactive rescue dog.Choke collar: Good for strong corrections for dog reactive and/or people reactive dogs. My least favorite of the 4 I purchased as the chain is heavy and you need to keep your dog on one side depending which why you slip the collar on. For people using this to train, you just need to pop the collar once for a correction. Do not yank the leash back as the dog is pulling or it could hurt their trachea.Rogz Nylon Choke Collar: Good for mild corrections for walking a nonreactive dog that may pull on the leash. I purchased the large size for my 70 lbs GSD mix. He has a thick coat around his neck area. The collar does not slide around as another reviewer has mentioned. You should have two finger spaces between his body and the collar, and it should be tight enough not to slide around all the time but also loose enough for you to be able to slide the leash around the left or right side of your dog's neck when walking.

Exactly what I needed
I love my dogs- a 40 pound male whippet and a 12 pound Iggy, with skinny little noggins, tiny little brains, HUGE hearts, and thick, awkward necks. I don't like conventional check (choker) collars for my dogs because they are heavy and seem a little "corporal", but I do like/need something that provides that audible, ratcheting "click" sound when I need them to behave. Any of you who have experience with either breed (or their larger Greyhound cousin) know how difficult it is to find something that doesn't slip over the sighthound head, doesn't irritate their fine-fur-covered necks and actually holds up to use. There are lots of cutesy little martingale-style options out there and they are fine for fancy parties and the occasional public walk, but my dogs are DOGS- not exactly delicate and graceful. They have their "show collars" but I needed something else... something more for everyday use. So-----I ordered two Rogz half nylon/half check-chain collars along with matching leads in pink and green (okay- a little cissified and over-the-top preppy, I know), and I could not be happier. They are very well made, light, attractive, and very functional. The reflective stitching actually works well and is a nice addition to the little blinky light (that annoys everyone, including the dogs) on nighttime walks and a great security blanket when we get caught out walking right at dusk with no blinky light handy. Keep in mind, my dogs don't live in these collars- they are just for walks and romps at the dog park, but they, and the matching leads, are EXACTLY what I needed. Great product. Quick delivery. Excellent price.

Simple and attractive, yet highly affective.
These are my favourite for my four hounds and my revolving door of fosters. I hate tight or fitted collars and these allow you to leave them loose yet they tightens just right for training/walking. I’ve been buying them for years and only have to replace every two years when the colour fades. Please keep making all the colours because each of my dogs has “their” signature colour. Turquoise was hard to find and I’d stockpile if they’re going to be discontinued.

Absolutely love these collars
I only bought this for a change of color, as my dog already has one. After breaking 3 different types of collars, a lady at a pet store suggested this collar for my rambunctious 70lb furbaby, and I'll never buy another brand again.
