Too Much
I am a huge fan of Victoria Christopher Murray but couldn't read all of this novel because it was just too unbelievable. Not sure if I will finish it. As one reviewer wrote, why would Damon send Tiffanie to the airport to pick up his thug friend, Trey, who he knew nothing about his current state of mind? Also, really Tiffanie--you were THAT attracted to Trey??? The fact that she never displayed this before Trey made it hard for me to believe that all of a sudden she lost her mind on this ex-con! Maybe I'm too much of a realist but this book was too disappointing and too much for me! Also, was surprised by some of the language and content, as this has not been the norm for one of my favorite Christian authors. Yeah, it might be the real world, but when I read Christian fiction, I don't want it to be in my world--I like the fact that I don't have to worry about semi porn or foul language, and can enjoy a good read.

Lust, it's real!
I am a great fan of VCM.....I've read all of her books and I have thoroughly enjoyed every ONE of them! I own all of her books in "hard" copy. This was not your traditional VCM book, but the theme throughout all of her books have been to trust in GOD. I loved the storyline that at times I became so angry at Tiffanie. Tiffanie was one of the most naive women I've ever read about, but had I not met a truly "naive" woman, I would have found it difficult to believe that someone was this naive. I loved Damon, he is a man above all of the rest. Rising from humble beginnings, Damon truly believes in love, trust, honor and obey. I found myself at times, yelling at Tiffanie's naivety, but it set the tone for the book. The theme of the book is if you trust in God, can you put that trust in action? VCM brings it home in this book. I loved the characters, Damon, Tiffanie and of course, Tiffanie's grandmother. This book is a one day read in which you will not want to put the book down; then again, you will want to put it down because you're so angry with Tiffanie. Don't sleep on this one.....she truly tells a story about LUST. We all look at lust in many different ways and probably think that we're not vulnerable to LUST, but trust me, we all are vulnerable......just let the "right" one come along. Great Job, Victoria Christopher Murray! I love it!! I am anxiously awaiting Just for One Night........when you tell a story of "ENVY." Great read; will recommend to others!!

I think I would have enjoyed it but this was just another urban fiction book
I found the book to be shallow, unrealistic, and stereotypical of reality shows that now flood our lives through the media. If she had taken more of a biblical stance about lust and temptation, I think I would have enjoyed it but this was just another urban fiction book.

VCM is a master storyteller
Lust was a five star read, but I'm not surprised because Victoria Christopher Murray is a master storyteller and knows how to hook her readers from beginning to end. The pacing was written in a way that left the reader savoring every word and I couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen with Tiffanie and if she would surrender to temptation and let the "devil" win. While I was reading Lust, I often heard from other readers that this was different in relation to the author's other books, but I didn't see that at all. I felt that it was classic VCM. The pacing, the characterization, her keen ability to describe settings and make them such an intricate part of the story is what makes her writing style so unique. I loved it, and I'm looking forward to the next.

Book Goes Nowhere
First, let me say I am a huge VCM fan. I always look forward to reading her books. This book seemed like it was written by a completely different author. If you read the synopsis, you can skip the entire book. The characters are flat, one dimensional and simple. The reader is given no insight into the characters driving motivation (with the exception of Trey). Tiffanie's pure lust for Trey (yet distain for his character) seemed implausible, even though she was supposed to be extremely naive. I won't give away the ending but I will say I was completely shocked- and not in a good way. Very disappointed. I'd recommend you try any of VCM's other books and skip this one.

When Temptation Comes.....
Victoria Christopher Murray has another winner with "Lust: A Seven Deadly Sins Novel". From the beginning with the earthquake to the very end, I was riveted to this story. If anyone had told me that a fictional character could work my nerves as much as Tiffanie Cooper did I would have told them they had lost their ever loving mind! But let me tell you, that woman had me screaming in anger so many times!Truth be told though, the devil is always busy and this story demonstrates how demons from our past will sneak in to influence our lives when we are weak and most vulnerable (Tiffanie), when we feel we have it all together (Damon) and when we feel that we have been wronged (Trey). I highly recommend this book. Great job, Victoria, and I am anxiously looking forward to the next installment.

Ghostwriter?
Was this really written by Victoria Christopher Murray? this does not sound like one of my favorite authors. Instead it sounds like a book written for Triple Crown Publications. I did not like the main character and felt the storyline was quite rushed and unrealistic. I usually devour her books, but I found myself distracted by anything BUT this book.

Stay prayed up!
Wow! This book had me held hostage until the very end. TREEEEYYYYYYYY why you so scandalous bro? This story was a perfect example of why staying prayed up, especially in marraige, is so important. Stop the devil at the door!Victoria spinned out a wonderful tale of romance trust, trials, tribulations, and victory. Even when times get rough... PRAY! I thoroughly enjoyed this read.
