Radius is 1/2 diameter in math. According to the manufacturer and my caliper, the diameter of the part of the peephole that goes through the door is 9/16in or 14.28mm or .56 decimal.

According to the manufacturer and my caliper, the part of the peephole that goes through the door is 9/16in or 14.28mm or .56 decimal. So drill the same size hole and round it with the drill bit, or slightly larger like 5/8in or 15.87mm or .625 decimal. This provides a little room to insert the peephole without being too loose when installed.

Q: What are the firesafing properties?

It is permanently hooked up to a firetruck..

Q: This is not a replacement. i have no hole already. where can i get instructions? . need to know drill bit sizes etc.

I bought "Eques Drill Bit for Peephole Viewer. 16mm HSS hole saw. Sold by EquesHome along with my peephole on Amazon. Made installation very easy. I do not think there were instructions with my peephole either. I am fairly handy and also got some pointers on the internet and YouTube. Be sure not to put it too high as most people that are on the outside are down a step on a porch!
