Fulltone Custom Shop RTO Robin Trower Signature Overdrive Pedal

If you like Robin Trower buy this pedal, there, I said it.We saw Robin in a small theater venue this past March 2016, he was fantastic, great tone, everything we love about his performances, a gentleman and phenomenal musician. I could easily see his Fulltone pieces on the stage, the same ones you see him with in YouTube videos, he really does get his tone with these.I'm using this pedal with the Fulltone mini-vibe and playing through a Marshall 4x12 cab with a clean sounding vintage 100 watt head.If you really want to get into serious Robin Trower tone territory you do need to load up a Stratocaster with 11's or ideally 12's, then tune down two frets and use these Fulltone products. The effort and reward is worth it, it's the real deal, classic Trower tone.Don't go by the settings Fulltone says in the accompanying manual, look online and watch some Trower "rig rundowns", you can see the positions of the knobs he's using and if you match them you'll be there tonewise.I do like Fulltone products, they are pricey, heavy duty and sound excellent. I use their Clyde wah pedal and Tube Tape Echo to round out my tone. They are expensive but they will last the rest of your life.Overall the Robin Trower Overdrive has earned a permanent place on my pedalboard. I follow the RTO with a Maxon 808 Overdrive, the RTO pushes the 808 into sonic bliss and if you have all this plugged into a good amp you're not going to be able to stop smiling.Good music to all!

Really nice pedal, used with a good vibe pedal, you will get the exact sound Trower had on "Bridge Of Sighs"!

An overdrive pedal that doesn't kill or muffle string harmonics. A really "clean" overdrive. Shines with single coil pickups. It's also built like a tank & I like having the 9volt battery option in my pedals whenever possible. Also, if a heavier distortion is desired, couple this with your screamer to refine the output overdrive.

I love the tone I am able to get with this box. The overdrive levels offer a good range from subtle to pretty heavy. Just what I was looking for

It nails master Trower tone beautifullyMore gain than the OCD pedal , which is a lot softer at lower settings.You don't loose bass frecuencies as with the OCD and other overdrives.I loved its kind of distorsion, that i set at 9 oclock all the time and get gorgeous tone for rythm guitar.For solos i turn on a Wampler Euphoria Clean before the RTO and sounds kickass.Got it used for a very decent price and itis my main OD.
