does this machine carry any warranty??

It does ... and you'll definitely need it. I owned a total of 3 units. The first 2 were replaced under warranty after major delays at the appliance repair company and/or Krups themselves. When I finally got the 2nd replacement, I sold it on eBay.If you want to really have a cup of coffee when you want it, forget this unit. Krups customer service was terrible. I replaced my unit with a Deloghi Magnifica XS. It was well worth the difference in cost. I've had the Delonghi now for 16 months without a single problem. In fact, I'm just enjoying my first cup of coffee today!!

is this the same as 5620 model

From what I can see the 5620 model seems to be identical. I love our machine and we use it daily with almost no complaints. I've looked online and compared the 5620 to the one purchased here and it appears to be the same model.
