A B S O L U T E G A R B A G E - DO NOT BUY DETROIT AXLE
It is definitely the correct rack, but the rebuild quality is beyond questionable. It looks like they just flushed it, spray painted it and shipped it to me. Both of the external lines had crushed sections and should have been replaced. It was also missing the boot that goes around the worm drive output.Considering how much work it was to get this swap done, I am praying it holds up and Detroit Axle did their job on the internals, because it looks like they skimped on everything else.5/30/23 - Housing began to crack less than 1 yr from purchase. I sent pictures of the cracking to Detroit Axle and they said they had to speak to me on the phone to resolve the issue. That is just another way of deferring responsibility. Now the entire housing snapped off, dumped my p/s fluid and I had to pay for a tow. Going to require new rack, p/s pump and filter. This unit and this company ARE NOT WORTH IT. DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!

Horrible customer service.
Rack and pinion was not functional upon install. Requested refund and sent part back. They refunded only my sales tax and said part was used so wouldn't give refund. How are you supposed to know if a part works without install. After I explained it has to be installed and plumbed into the steering pump to see if it functions and the guy putting me on hold once again to consult his inspection tech, he then changed the story to it was obviously damaged from the photos I had sent. He was trying to say that it was crushed just after the threads on the inner tie rod! That is a 1 inch solid steel shaft! The crappy repaint they put on was missing from my mechanics wrench while installing. After debating for a few minutes they were willing to give me half refund or full store credit. I contacted Amazon and shortly after they called back and gave me a full refund. Horrible business practices, faulty product. Would recommend buying products elsewhere.

Check quality.
Literally just unboxed so I can replace the bushing with Energy Suspension bushings. While doing so using a bushing clamp and an impac gun, one of the bolt that holds the power steering lines and rack together fell off. I tried to screw it back on but it was stripped. I’m beyond pissed. Mind you I did my research and Detroit had one of the best and I spent literally $120 something to ship to Hawaii for this piece of crap. Luckily the stripped bolt fell off before it was stalled. Wow... this is unbelievable. Just even reached my truck yet and it’s screwed already.
