Why did you pick this product vs others?:This is OEM, and I have great confidence in Dewalt. This product did not disappoint! I love being able to load the string so easily, and it feeds out smoothly as well. I can use the standard .80 or heavier .95 line, and I anticipate trying 1.05 as well. I am very satisfied with this purchase. The product does arrive without instructions, but there are several good videos on YouTube that explain this clearly.

I purchased this “DEWALT Quickfeed String Trimmer HD, Multi” for my DEWALT DCST925 trimmer. Very pleased with this purchase. I believe this retailer must bulk purchase these from the manufacture. What you’ll receive is this trimmer head loaded with string. No directions are provided. However, I watched the videos provided by this retailer on the Amazon site below the product details. After watching, it took me all of 1 minute to change the trimmer head. I’ve trimmed my lawn 3 times now – it’s worked great. I’ve not loaded string yet, but watching the video it appears much simpler than loading the head that came with the trimmer. Think you’ll like this purchase, I do.

Fit my Dewalt trimmer perfectly! High quality materials (as expected) and super easy to install. Removing the old one was fast, and I just instantly took the new one and spun it onto the assembly. And DONE. That kind of design is how everything should be manufactured. Fast and simple. makes my trimmer operate and feel like it did when it was brand new.

The media could not be loaded. I ordered this replacement head to replace the original one on our Dewalt trimmer, model DCST920. The original head eventually broke, and this one was listed as compatible with our trimmer model. It arrived loaded with the string and with clear instructions on how to replace and use the new head. The process of replacing the head is super simple. All you need is just a screwdriver (or something similar) to lock the spinning shaft on the trimmer. You can then remove the head just by rotating it clockwise because it is a left thread. The new head is installed the same way, only it should be rotated counterclockwise. It literally takes just a minute or so. Once installed we tried how the new head works and found no issues there. By now we’ve been using it for a while trimming the grass around the house and it still works just fine. We are happy with this product and can use our trimmer once again.

Wish I’d have known sooner how easy this was to replace and what a big difference it would make! I’d been banging the the old one hard for two years before it finally wore through completely and fell apart. Great purchase, will buy again and not wait so long next time.

De Walt trimmer head defective in three categories Broken string release Both Opren the container and closing it very difficult. Love these! They’re so simple to install and they last a good while! They fit perfectly on my weed eater. It’s definitely worth the money. I would spend double to not have to wind my own string.
