Stearns puddle jumper ultra - glad I splurged for the very comfy fabric covered. If there were 20 stars, I'd give them all. Super independent 2.5 year old hates being held in the water but can't yet swim fully on her own. She put this on, stepped off the pool side, and was off. For an hour I followed her around the pool as she happily paddled and kicked around. Once or twice she sunk low in the water and got some up her nose, etc. She sputtered around but was fine after a minute. She normally refuses to lay back in the water and float, but with this, she embraced it. After an hour and a half, she was tired, and just bobbed for awhile and then fell asleep. In the water. This is of course not a substitute for adult supervision but it was great for my girl to be able to "swim" on her own (within easy reach of her parents).ETA: 7 years later, my other daughter uses it consistently in the same way. 7 years of constant summer use and it is still in great condition. Great product!

These have last 3 seasons now, without much or any signs of wear and my kids use them a lot. Great quality. Material is soft and not binding for little arms. These are a great welll made product, completely worth the extra you pay for the neo material it is made of.

Great for the pool and beach, but not sure I'd trust it on the boat in the middle of the lake. Fits a little snug around the chest of our 37 pound daughter, but the arms holes seem a little big. The arms floaters slide down the arms after they get wet. Overall we're happy with it, but definitely use a full chest life vest for the boat.

We love the Ultra puddle jumper. The fabric is a lot more comfortable than the regular one we have. It works well on my 3yo (30lbs / 36") but is too big for my 18mo (24lbs / 32"). It just seems to be too big for his arms, & he hated wearing it. His sister loved it though. Keep in mind this will not flip a child over to his/her back so make sure he/she can flip over or you're with him.

Love this puddle jumper! Using it for my 1.5 year old. He can completely float and swim by himself (although we are always right there with him) when he's wearing this. It's also a very high quality one, have purchased others and this one is very nicely made. The colors are perfect for a little boy. My 4 year old daughter has used it too and it fits her just as well.

Such a great life jacket - it gave my son such confidence in the water. He previously clung to us, but was all over the pool this summer. He even jumped off the side for the first time. Swimming lessons are so important, but as a young swimmer is learning, this is such a great way to give them independence in the water!

Overall, nice, works well. The one thing I don't like about this as much as the other we have is that while the fabric is softer on the skin, it drys much more slowly.

This has been a good addition so far for summer. We have a toddler so it’s nice to not worry about him accidentally slipping under. He doesn’t fight putting it on and it keeps him above the water when he’s in the pool. Our son is only 1 1/2 so he doesn’t swim much so I can’t speak to how well he’ll do when he’s a older swimmer but it’s perfect for this age
