Broke my cat??
This harness is indeed high-quality and admirably escape-proof; in short, all that I had hoped for. I put it on my cat and she was remarkably calm throughout the whole process. However, when I released her into the wilds of the living room it became apparent that her legs had mysteriously ceased to function. Her ire found voice only in glares and reproachful mewing. For the next hour the cat flopped pitifully from room to room like a dying fish. At times she lurched aggressively toward us like Gollum in a ring-induced daze. Before our eyes she had become a monster. A veritable Frankenstein of vengeful heart and shattered dreams. A mutilated ferret-centipede hybrid. An uneaten Taco Bell meal that has developed sentience. An uncomfortably aggressive slinky. A sea slug on LSD.When we picked Arwen up to comfort her, she flopped out of our arms too, not bothering to right or catch herself. It was the greatest drama of our time. It out-Heroded Herod. If she sustained brain damage by crash-landing on carpet it was certainly overshadowed by the emotional trauma. This harness has been a good thing for us. The psychological toll has been high, and yes, it's been a long road, but we've walked it together. (Metaphorically. Still working on the literal walking.) I can say with confidence that the experience has brought us closer as a family. We've really opened up and been able to discuss some of the more difficult questions in life, like "MEOW???**" Needless to say, our eyes have also been opened to Arwen's thespian talents, and we've enrolled her in the local community theater. We're looking forward to this evening's production of "Macbeth". Truly a life-changing product.5/5 stars for quality and entertainment value.**what the fricking heck

The calming coat
I bought this for my 2 year old rescue cat. He is fixed and a male. When I say he rants and yowls at 4am EVERY morning, I want to say I am Exhausted!! This harness is the BEST, BEST harness ever!!! It calmed him down immediately. I am now sleeping until 6 am. He feels secure and calm. It took 10 minuets for him to get used to. He has full range of motion, and I am starting to walk him outside. He is an inside cat, and very playful. This harness is a blessing. I can honestly say there is no bad side effects of it😊

Works like a "thunder shirt"
My kitten is 4 mos old...at the typical hellion stage...tearing things up & terrorizing all the other pets. I just graduated him from a very light weight ferret harness/leash to this one. This harness is awesome...I leave it on him full time as it has a calming effect much like a "thunder shirt". I love it & everyone (me & the other furry kids) love my kitty even more right now!

Excellent!
The "It broke the cat" review convinced me to buy this. And yes, it also broke my cat. Max was strictly an indoor cat because he is a determined hunter and very agile--even inside, he has climbed to places no cat before him has ever reached. So we knew he's be able to get over the fence and most likely get himself killed. This was easy to put on, helped somewhat by Max's legs not working the second the body section was put in place. Totally limp until we pretended to not be watching him and then he furiously tried to take it off. And failed. Since he can open almost every door in the house, not to mention the file cabinet drawers and the cat treat box in the pantry, this was amazing. It is escape proof--at least for the Houdini of the cat nation. The third time we put it on him, I carried him outside and fastened a long lead to the secure tabs on the back. Not long enough to reach the fence or the huge oak tree (did I mention he climbs well?) but for the first time, he had some outdoor time, which he enjoyed immensely, even though the lizards and squirrels did not (nothing was injured except that one lizard lost his tail--it'll grow back). Max quickly figured out that harness=outside time and he carries it to us and demands that we put it on him. So it must be comfortable. I highly recommend this.

Good Comfortable Fit
Compared to the department store kitten harness we had before (which was a weird shape and turned out to be ill-fitting) this harness is night-and-day better. Out kitten is now a small adult cat and has a lot of energy. She is indoor-only, so I was looking for a comfortable but secure harness she could get used to so I could have a good handle for the cat when we need to take her to the vet or make sure she doesn't get out the door by accident. The shape of the vest matches the cat's body shape well and she tolerates it much better than her old vest (which she just tried to remove). It seems like it also has a calming, swaddling effect on her as well as she seems to stop hyperactively running around and tends to want to nap in it. I have checked the tightness, and even when I can easily fit my whole hand between her chest and neck and the vest it is still secure and calms her. (I was initially concerned that the calming was because it was restricting her breathing too much for her to run around or jump, but nope - she must just find it cozy) This calming was especially handy when we had trick-or-treating kids on Halloween - I put her in the vest and she napped on the couch instead of running up whenever the door was opened. Overall, this vest is a good purchase and I am sure we'll get a lot of use out of it.

Definitely escape proof
Ok, so this is actually a tiny bit little too small for my cat, She fits, but it's a struggle. so if you have a larger cat (than the 19"chest size), consider another option. Beyond that, it is escape proof. Ebony, my cat, hates it and gets really dramatic while wearing it. While leash training her, it is good to have something she can't ninja out of, even though at the moment, she just sulks a bit.

Best yet
This is by far the best harness I have for our kitten (3rd attempt at a harness... both others were from pets at home). We call our kitty a bar of soap as he's so wiggly and slips through anything. This holds him securely and comfortably. Would definately recommend. We got a size small for our kitten and fits snuggly..

Miko’s Harness experience
I would like to say that this harness has been great for our cat Miko and that we are buying a bigger size because, Miko, is now too big for the medium size. We start using it when he was around 9 weeks old and we got the medium size, because the reviews about it being too small and it was perfect, a bit big for him in the beginning but you can adjust the stripes. He is now 8 months and weights 4 kg, he is gonna be a big cat. We never force him to wear it and we let him play with it first, maybe that was the reason he felt very comfortable with it from the begging. I have to say, that one day he got scare about something (cats world paranoid) and he managed to get free from it, after a while of struggle, lucky we were already at home. Anyway he stills goes out everyday to the garden and sometimes to the big public park, with it and never tried to scape again. I think that he likes it and feels protected with it. I think that if I don’t take it off when we get home he will stay with it with no problem.I have to say that Miko is a strange lovely cat that basically is ok with everything that we do to him 😉Last one thing we bought a bigger lead, the one that comes with it is too small.

Good cat harness
I bought this for our Ragdoll cat who is a brute of a size and it took a bit for him to get into it as he would not stop wriggling, but once he was secure he did not seem to mind.It is a good fit but our cat who has big belly and he does weigh quite a bit but he cannot wait to get it removed once he has come in from the garden.

Not for my cat
Product well made but my cat absolutely hated this harness. I don't think she found it uncomfortable but simply refused to move when I got her in to it. Just rolled on to her side and lay there obviously distressed.

Very disappointed
I wouldn’t give this one star. Not escape proof cat escaped and is now missing.
