EMG TX X Series Tele Active Pickup Set - black

These pickups sound incredible, great tele spank without being overly bright. I will say though that they were very difficult to install in my guitar. This is not due to the solder-less system, which is awesome and very intuitive. (Takes about 10 mins or so after the old electronics are removed.) The problem was the neck pickup was larger than a standard tele pickup route. (I have a Warmoth tele body with what I think is a standard route.) I had to drill out the hole by about 3mm to fit the pickup in. That being said, these are awesome pickups. If you're concerned about battery life or replacing batteries, don't be! I have a battery tester (Keith McMillen Batt-O-Meter) and it says the battery will last for 450 hours before it needs to be replaced.

I definitely recommend these pick ups one of the best sets I've owned and will definitely be using them again. I started out a few months ago building my first Telecaster ordering a body, neck, Fender American Telecaster hardware in completing the build with this set. the most bright classic Telecaster sound I have had ever! I finished off after ordering this with the EMG afterburner switch. the one thing I noticed with this set is that the dials for volume and tone are much wider than traditional knob diameters. I will be ordering original Telecaster knobs or EMG 's knobs. the installation was a breeze thanks to the solderless system, if you know how to read directions and follow pictures you can install this set yourself took me about 15 minutes to install including removing the previous set if you want sound with crystal clear tone in that well known Telecaster crunch these are the pickups for you.

My sixteen year old son installed these on his Fender Telecaster, and he is very happy with them. He could certainly give you more of a technical review than I, but I can tell you he is very pleased with them.
