Best cheap knife around
I did re sharpen this knife but it does come sharp. This has since been my go to bush knife. Very cheap but also very solid. Comfortable in your hand, the holder is solid and very good.

Good blade.
This is a well made knife that is razor sharp out of the packaging, feels really comfortable in the hand and should last a long time.I noticed that in another review, the sheath was mentioned as being quite loose.Well, it does seem loose if you don't push the knife into the sheath firmly enough,If you push down on the handle firmly, the knife clicks into place and the sheath grips it tightly.Hopefully this info will help other buyers.

Brilliant
Why did you choose this product over others?:Way better than I thought it would be. Very durable. I was using it as a throwing knife one day, throwing into a tree stump. The tip of the blade never bent or chipped. The handle stayed in place too. Brilliant budget knife

Great value Mora alternative
I'll say what we're all thinking - we only looked at this knife because the Mora Companion isn't on Amazon, and it's (usually) cheaper than the Hultafors. Despite that, it needs to be reviewed on its own merits. The blade comes super sharp and with the ubiquitous Scandinavian grind. A bit of a disappointment on my example is that the grind isn't super consistent and looks a little warped near the handguard.I love the shape of the handle. I wear medium-size men's gloves and I could fit another finger on there with a little bit of a squeeze, but when comfortably holding it at a bit of an angle, it suits me perfectly. The sheath is great, I have every confidence it will never fall out, and it only rattles with the knife inside if you give it a real forceful shake. For the sake of efficiency you need to put some paracord and tape on it, and to give the false impression that you know what you're doing.I'd give it 5 stars if it weren't for the slight blade warping but would definitely recommend it as is.

knife to know !
camping, hiking, working around the home or surviving end of days, you need a good knife ! back in the day before people lost common sense, that would have been an 8 inch antler handle sheath knife. bu these days look for a camping knife you will find loads of thin flimsy 1.5 inch blades that I wouldnt want to rely on. Then there is this, handle is softish polymer with a strong none folding blade the back of which is practically begging to be hit to help cut kindling. the edge is V sharp. over all it seems strong and sturdy though i havent tested it to destruction. The sheath is a strong ABS polymer case with a belt clip designed to keep the rigid sheath in place. slipping the knife into its home it becomes clear it only goes one way, it pushes home with a reassuring click. if i had to suggest an improvement it would be a fastner or lock to stop the knife being drawn by accident.

It's ok for the price
It's not a bad knife for the money, but be warned ,it won't hold up to heavy use, I was processing some wood for the camp fire, and batoning the knife through the wood, the blade was quite chipped afterwards. As I said before, it's a good little knife for the money, but I wouldn't want to rely on it in extreme situations.
