Video Games Live Level 2

Love the music. Hate the audience participation.
I love the music, but I really don't appreciate the audience participation. Please give me a recording without all the shouts and applause. It doesn't make me feel like I'm sitting in the audience with everyone else. That's the last thing I want, anyway. I want the music to help me escape reality, not be reminded that I'm still in it surrounded by other people. I thought I could get past that with this music, but I couldn't. Live audience recordings really brings me out of the experience of just enjoying the music.

Video game music like you've never heard it before!
Video Games Live (Volume 2) contains fantastically orchestrated versions of some of the most recognizable video game music ever. Since I have been a gamer most of my life, when I hear the familiar tunes from Mario or Zelda, they are so well done I can tell exactly where I heard it in the game. If you love classic video game music, and want to hear it played by some of the most amazing professional musicians in the world, this CD is for you!I guess my only gripe about this music collection is that the song chosen from Sonic was very random and lackluster. Also I didn't recognize about half the songs, but hey that could be my fault for not playing those games, and you can't please everybody!

It's the same as the first one. Literally.
This collection is literally the exact same film as the first video games live. The same songs, the same performances of the songs, the same interviews, the same bonus features. If you own the first video games live DVD / Blu-ray DO NOT buy this.

Worthy Sequel
Unlike the previous level, this one focuses more on vocal tracks, which is a neat change. A couple more live tracks which is alright, I feel it detracts from the music. Overall though good album, especially for working or driving.

Awesome!
Fans of classic and contemporary video games will love this album. It's got the retro greats: Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, Sonic the Hedgehog, Chrono Trigger, Castlevania, and Final Fantasy. The album also features tracks from today's popular games: Civ IV, God of War, Myst, and much more!I listen to this album at work. Highly recommended!

Must own
If you appreciate classical music, and love your video games, this album must be added to your collection. I don't know what it is about it... it just makes me smile and keeps me in a good mood. You won't regret adding this to your mp3's

Added to my collection
I listen to this and some other video game music when programming, and it's great for productivity. This is live music, though. Some of the tracks are prefaced by an introduction saying, "This is the music of...", which is a bit of an interruption. I think I prefer "The Greatest Video Game Music" (1 and 2) by the London Philharmonic Orchestra, but I've added this to my collection.
