Product description Get smooth, glowing skin Specially formulated for dry to very dry skin, this soothing creamy lotion gently exfoliates to reveal softer, smoother and younger-looking skin. Research has shown that daily exfoliation is vital to remove dead skin cells and reveal soft, smooth, radiant-looking skin. AHA exfoliants in particular are really beneficial for dry skin. AHA stands for Alpha Hydroxy Acid, but don’t let the word ‘acid’ fool you. AHAs are much gentler than traditional scrubs or cleansing brushes. Glycolic acid is special because of its small molecule size which enables it to easily penetrate through the top layers of skin and reveal healthier-looking skin. Glycolic acid also has the ability to hydrate skin and to ‘teach’ skin to retain its natural moisture. When used in concentrations of 5% and upwards, glycolic acid can also improve firmness and resilience while lessening other signs of sun damage. If you have sensitive skin, we generally recommend choosing a BHA exfoliant. This is because a BHA also has soothing and anti-inflammatory properties, which are beneficial for dry, sensitive skin. This product is an exfoliant and your skin has to get used to it. Build up use from once a fortnight to 1 to 2 times per day. It may take some trial and error to see what is the best frequency for your skin. During the day, always use a moisturiser with a broad-spectrum sunscreen rated SPF 30 or greater. Your skin will in fact be slightly more sensitive to sunlight when using an exfoliant, so the chance of sunburn and sun damage is slightly higher.
