Love the separate pressure plates on the screw terminals
Excellent product. Screw terminals have the separate pressure plates to very securely bind the wire to the lugs. Safe, strong and secure.

Well designed plug
Got this to replace the plug on a 12 gauge extension cord, works as it should, wires were relatively easy to install and held firm. Screws held the strain relief and covers securely.

Does the job. A bit awkward to access the wire clamping screws due to the design but not a big deal. Good strain relief clamp design and quality prongs. Hard to beat for the price.

Practically color coded screws inside...
It works nicely and is reasonably doable for someone to connect with no experience. Provided that anyone putting this kind of plug on a nice thick wire with three leads can find on how to video for instruction. It comes with a green screw to connect the ground wire and a brass screw to connect to the hot wire and regular screw to connect the neutral wire. I took my time and it came out perfect.

Don’t see why I’d spend more on Hubell
Honestly the same quality as Hubell. These are listed as residential grade but I’d confidently use them in an industrial environment. No reason to spend more. I’m using these on 14/3 extension cords into quad boxes for live sound and they are holding up perfectly.

Easy to install
Why did you pick this product vs others?:This was so much easier to install than the first plug that I bought and returned. Since it's the first time that I have done this, I found some good videos on YouTube that were really helpful, since no instructions come with it. Mice had chewed through my power cord on our ShopVac. Great replacement plug!
