Technical Drawing With Engineering Graphics 14th Edition

I have been using this reference since the Fourth Edition.I am so impressed with how it still has such a familiarity to it, yet with such modern interpretations. I am equally impressed with how well the modern practices of todays 3D design concepts have been integrated with the techniques of an old T-Square like me. A real must have for any dedicated mechanical designer.

Explains most models and features used and transfers well to CAD design. Extensive book with very detailed drawings. I do NOT consider it a book for beginners, however it does cover what you'll need to know eventually. I've used it as a reference as my training progressed. It's worth having as it covers it all in-depth.

This book was required for my Engineering Graphics class. I took this class as an independent study course, which made me a little nervous as it was TRULY independent. I never met with the instructor, although I could email if I got stuck. Thanks to this book, I never had to ask any questions. I recommend this book for anyone who is either just learning AutoCad, or anyone who is already comfortable with the software but needs to work on design standards.My only complaint is that the binding completely came apart from the cover within 3 weeks of delivery. Because I rented the book instead of purchasing it, I just hope I don't get charged. When I received the book, it had a lot of writing in it, although all of it was in fairly light pencil.

This is a great text book. If you are looking for a book to give you great drawings to create solid model this book has it. I have use the drawing in this book to create a lot of stuff on Solidworks and many have been impressed with it.

I have used this book for more than one course. The drawings in there are nice to do when working on any CAD program. I have used this book in five different courses because of the drawings.

I got this book for an engineering cad course. we didn't use it too much. I can't really say much about it unfortunately. It seems very in-depth though. I have heard several complaints about some of the example drawings and drafts being incorrect though, and how the publisher has not corrected them for several editions for whatever reason.
