I would like to make my own graphite transfer paper using a graphite stick. Will this paper work?

I tried using it for transfers, but I considered it gave poor results. Not a lot of graphite sticks to the vellum so you get a very light transfer compared to just light weight cotton paper over a light pad (Disneyesque). I was using a B grade hard graphite. You may get better results with soft charcoal sticks.

Does it wash out of fabric?

It's for drawing on or tracing another picture! May not be what you think it is.

Can you use this with a light box?

You can yes. But not necessary.
