This is such a thoughtfully written book. Bea has a way of writing that makes it seems like she is right beside you, telling you everything she has learned through her years as a photographer.It's a book that I preordered when it was out and one that I was never more happy for the UPS delivery man to come. It's one of the books you do not want to put down once you start reading and one that you can stay up all night for. It is a book for both beginners and experienced photographers. She not only shares her knowledge with using a camera, editing, and her styling process but also mindset, which is an important topic many do not talk about often enough.I love reading the interviews from other incredible food photographers where many shares how it is through continuous practice that their skills developed over time and got them to where they are today. These interviews not only shows how humble Bea is despite her amazing photography skills but also the importance of having a community of supportive individuals where we can all learn from.I am forever grateful for this book having started out in food photography myself this past year.

I chanced upon Beata’s Instagram feed, I don’t even remember what I was looking for but I remember going through all her pictures and getting inspired. I had never seen such beautiful sentimental photographs of food and when I read on her page that she was releasing a book, I knew immediately that I could learn so much from her. So I went ahead and got the kindle version and I loved it so much I ordered the hardcover because I needed to have it in my hands. I have learned so much and I am now obsessed with this book. It is the most concise book you’ll read about food photography yet unless of course she releases a new book. I love this book so much. Buy it if you haven’t. You won’t regret this purchase.

Book was in excellent condition. I had no idea what I was getting. This book is so much more than a book on learning to do food photography. This book also goes into the basics of photography. The understanding of the F stop, lighting, depth of field etc. It's a beautiful book but make no mistake. This is not just a book full of nice food photos. This book is very detailed in it's descriptions on techniques and ideas. I highly recommend.

Under one cover there’s everything I was searching for all over the Internet: from composition to editing tricks, from difference in focal lengths to storytelling through your photography. Technical and creative at the same time. All information presented with high quality photo examples, that makes it easier for me to understand. Plus it’s not just reading, you can find there some homework that is truly challenging but exiting. As for beginning food photographer “How to photograph food” is a priceless source of information! Thank you Bea Lubas for sharing your knowledge!

A must read for any budding food photographer who wants to take their art to the next level. A very guided, step-by-step approach on how to further hone your skill set with examples, behind-the-scene shots and clear, concise explanations. Also admired the practical review on exposure, shutter speed, aperture/f-stops, depth of field and of course the game changer, an in-depth review of lighting schemes! Highly recommend this book. Beata Lubas presents her expertise in food photography in a comprehensive manner, yet also successfully manages to make it quite easy to understand and implement!
