Fibreglass Roman Blind Rods 4mm - 4 x 3m lengths

My delivery was due in 3-5 days but arrived the day after my order was placed. Excellent quality and well packaged. Well done !It wasn’t eligible for Prime either !!!

Took a moment Think about how to safely open these without them springing open and taking my eye out. What I found was gripping the ends in my hand and removing the masking tape then carefully snipping the black plastic ties while holding the two ends in my hand worked. There is a little instruction leaflet in the box which I found useful for how to cut them. I found the best way was to mark with a marker, place a little masking tape over where I wanted to Cut. Then taking a pair of garden secateurs, cut into it one way, release turn it, cut down again, release turn it and keep going like that. It then snaps, and you have to be careful of the fibres obviously. But if you pop in endcap on Then you have no issues. Or a little bit of masking tape just over the end works just as well. They worked lovely for my blinds, I’m only just learning how to make them and I found this a very cost-effective way as I have very weird size windows

These are strong durable if a great quality.

The rods are easy to cut to size and suit their purpose. I was concerned that they would not be straight when in place because they arrive coiled however that isn’t a problem. There are very thoughtful instructions provided for safe unpacking.

The rods arrive rolled and well wrapped. Take the time to remove all of the cling film before sliding the plastic ties slowly and gently off of the ends. The rods will spring a bit at this stage so keep a tight hold! Control the release of the rods as the tape will start to give way due to the tight coiling of the rods. Once the rods are fully extended the remaining tape can be removed. I used a hacksaw to cut them and it went through like butter. Scissor like tools can cause the cut end to split but they will go through the fibreglass eventually if that’s all you have available. Please do wear gloves and don’t touch your eyes; the fibreglass shavings are very fine and irritate skin like splinters

They cut easily, and made a great Roman blind, perfect for the job

Not sure if there is actually any safe way to unpack this coiled up rod that is meant to be straight. Since the 4 rods were packaged in pairs, I had two goes at unwrapping. Dangerous....I had one final tape to remove, and stood there holding this loop and cannot figure out how to straighten it out without hurting myself. I literally had to throw it away from me, turning away at the same time to stop it from hitting me. Perhaps make a short video to show us how to do this safely? Also, I cannot cut it at all with secateurs. Going to leave it outside with a note to see if they are of any use to someone as they are no use to me .....

All fine. Easy to cut. Needs two to release it from the ties and packaging.
