Just got it but it is quite lightweight and colorful—time will tell

The pictures are a little deceptive.The fit is perfect.The brim is WIDE and pretty firm.Like Kung Lao (from Mortal Kombat wide). Yeah I threw it one time lol. If you need to keep the sun off you, this will do it.The brim firmness is about half of a baseball caps bill.Overall I like it but note the width. Oh that's a 22" monitor behind me for additional reference.

I ordered this hat mainly for the color. I was looking for a short-brimmed floppy, bucket hat. I had hopes that even though the brim was fuller than I wanted that perhaps I could round it up enough so it wouldn't rub against the back of my collar. Unfortunately, it would not do so for very long and would droop down and rub against my collar. The quality of the hat is excellent and the wide brim does shield your eyes from bright sunlight. Other than the color, it just wasn't what I wanted. Maybe I can hand-stitch the brim so it will stay more up-turned. If you are looking for a well-made bucket hat with a wide brim, this is the one for you.

Very nice sun hat; since it arrived in 2 days as promised, I used it for kayaking this past weekend. I typically wear only visors but needed some fuller coverage to protect my ears. It didn't bother me; the venting kept my head cool. I plan to take this hat sailing in the Virgin Islands and really wanted the extra protection from sun! The hat also looks very nice. After we went kayaking we needed to go into a fishing store to buy some stuff for my trip. I wore my hat and didn't feel self-conscious. Like I said, I'm used to only wearing visors! I would definitely recommend this hat - great price, lightweight, fit was good - it wasn't windy so I didn't use the neck cord but I'm sure I'll use it sometime when sailing in the Virgin Islands. I also didn't need the adjustment but the hat was loose enough on my head, so if I wear it on our power boat or in the islands, I may need to tighten it up and will appreciate that it can be adjusted.

I was worried when I first ordered this hat that it might not fit my big ol' head. As soon as it arrived I tried it on. It fits great. Has a little bungee to tighten it so it will stay securely on my head as well as a chin strap to cinch down on those extra windy days. I like to keep the sun off my ears when I'm out kayaking or just out walking around on a sunny day. The wide brim does this well. It's a light weight material plus some venting mesh that will help keep me from overheating on those hot days out on the water. Stitching looks pretty sturdy, but it's brand new, so we will see how long it lasts. :)

I'm a woman and bought a grey one for myself. When I received it and put it on, my first thought was: "is it too Crocodile Dundee style for me?".... Not very feminine, I know, but I liked it.I put it to test this weekend when I took my kids to the zoo. 80's out there, all day outdoors... I was glad I had this hat on! It's pretty light and the mesh makes it breathable and not sweaty. It's easy to fold and put it in your bag - what is great on these day trips with kids when you already drag a lot of things along. If you are a woman looking for a fancy looking hat, this is probably not it. But if you want a practical light weight hat to protect you from the sun and keep your head cool, this is a great choice. I see myself wearing it a lot this upcoming Summer.

I purchased these hats in black and gray years ago and after much wear and many washes they've held up incredibly well. I wanted to get the brighter colors: pink and blue--they're so vibrant and look just like the pictures. I'm hoping these hold up well like the ones from years ago.
