SCOTSMAN 11-0515-21 Temperature Sensor

Works fine for what I need.

TL;DR - Received faulty item, use a different vendor.I ordered this item because my Scotsman error code was reading a failed sump temperature sensor. I scheduled a tech to come out and look at my machine to install this and to look at other issues that I was having. After installing this item, I no longer had a sump temp sensor failure, but a discharge temp sensor failure. Since the item is essentially just plugged in, and the previous sensor had no issues on the discharge temp side even after plugging it back in to make sure the circuitry wasn't damaged, its safe to say that the item I received was faulty. Unfortunately, I set the item aside to return, and since the other issues with the machine were resolved such that it was making ice even with the sensor failure error message remaining on, I forgot about the thing until a few weeks later. Unfortunately, the item is no longer in the refund window, so I'm stuck with a broken sensor that cost me $40 dollars.I would suggest another vendor if you need this item.

Sensors are a pain to get to and remove. If you can have someone service the machine for you I would suggest doing just that. However this item is of great quality and fixed our machine. Two sensors is in this kit. One goes up to the ice tray and one is buried underneath on a refrigerant line. Removing the old harness is a major time consumer. The factory uses many cable ties to secure the harness and it is routed with other wiring making the removal tedious and time consuming. Pulling the new harness through those tight areas is just as difficult.

Product was like it was described and matched the replacement part. As soon as it was put on the ice machine was making ice like a pro! Delivery was very prompt and quick.

Don't make the mistake I made. I ordered 2 of these. Both failed within a month. Do not buy!!! Pay a little extra and get OEM. I don't usually write reviews but I had to this time. It connects and operates perfectly just past the time to be able to return. These are junk!!!! Please learn from my mistake. Order OEM for this particular replacement part!!!!
