high value grill with a strong feature set
First exposure to this grill was at a VRBO. I thought it was at least $300 or more when I used it based on sturdiness and overall quality feel and the feature set. I looked it up was surprised to find this for less than $200. I own a Big Green Egg and now use this for most of my quick fire up & fast grilling needs (2/3 times per week). What makes this particular grill standout are three things:-The ability to raise and lower the charcoal tray while grilling gives you a tremendous amount of flexibility when dealing with the heat source. You can raise and lower the coals to within an eyelash of the cooking surface, so it's an immediate increase of the implied temp without messing with the grill or fuel. Sear both sides with close heat, drop it to cook the middle properly without overexposing and if you need more charring just adjust the level to your situation. You don't need a 1000+ degree fire to cook meat properly. Just bring the heat source closer as needed.-Extremely satisfied with the materials + feel once assembled. Solid, tight fits and feels like a more expensive grill.-Third feature that seems so basic but is not as common is the open door on the front cover where you can add fuel (or re-arrange the hot coals) while cooking without having to move the food or remove the grills. So simple but useful.Solid grill with outstanding features and a good price point. Recommended.

Bargain, Easy, Great overall
Only had it for a month or so, but the few times I've used it its been awesome.First, it wasn't that difficult to assemble. Takes some time, but the instructions are clear and you only need a socket and phillips. I dont understand how some people said it was hard to assemble. The main reason I bought this grill was for the adjustable coal rack. Works like a charm, no problems, its even and goes up and down. Perfect for adjusting heat/flame when cooking. The only knock, which isn't even that bad, is that when your coals burn out and you want to empty the ashes from the pull-out tray, you need to somehow smash the coals into ashes into the holes on the rack so it goes down to the ashtray. Not a big deal. I just used newspaper and smashed all the ashes so it could go through the holes and reach the ashtray.Overall, for it being a bargain grill, its awesome!

For those who genuinely prefer charcoal grilling
Most charcoal grills are cheap, dinky little things. I've been wanting a better grill for a while but I genuinely prefer the taste of charcoal grilled food vs propane. Everywhere I looked, charcoal grills were just pathetic and cheap in form and function; essentially a metal bucket with a grate. This grill is a real grill that uses charcoal. You can adjust the height of the charcoals (affects the grilling temp), has an attached bottle opener, a smoke stack, thermometer, etc etc. I didn't even realize when I ordered it that it had so many great features. My fave is probably the pull out ash tray. If you've dealt with the cheap-o charcoal grills, you know how much of a pain it is to empty the ashes. Assembly is a bit lengthy, but not overly complicated. I did it all myself in an hour or so (plus breaks).

Works as advertised and still going strong after three years.
I have been using this for three seasons now and it still works. We live in Michigan and although I cover it in the winter, it still takes a beating and is working fine. Would definitely recommend.

Great price!
This is a really good grill for this price. So you don’t want to expect it is made with heavy duty steel since it is so cheap. The steel is thin and if you use force, you may alter the shape of the steel. It is a little bit hard to assemble, you may assemble it wrongly if you don’t see the instructions very carefully because there are a lot of details need to figure out. But, if you assemble it correctly, the grill is compact and you don’t need to worry the ash falls to the ground.Anyway, this is a good product for this price and it is suitable for light uses.

Worth Every Penny..Very Sturdy!!
The assembly took my husband a couple of hours and he is handy with those things. He said it was completely in peices so read directions carefully. Once assembled this is a VERY nice grill. The cleaning is made easy with the sliding ash and grease tray. You have complete control of the heat with because you can raise and lower coals to your desired height. Also you can smoke with this grill which was a feature I had considered when purchasing. Definitely worth every penny bc we would have paid twice as much at our local hardware store. Grilled some steaks and burgers same night we received it and they were perfectly cooked.

Awesome!
There were ALOT of pieces and the legs don't specify how to correctly put them on. And if you don't pay close attention its very easy to switch them and you don't know they are wrong until the very end and then you have to take the grill back apart part way to fix it. My brother and my husband both have this grill and love it, but they both also made the leg mistake. Over all would highly recommend! This is a awesome grill!

lasted two years
When I first got this grill I was happy with it.Then I noticed a few things. The charcoal holder is too hard to get all the ashes and debris through to the pull out ash tray. After about a year the ash tray rusted out and I couldn't get a replacement. Then the brackets that hold the charcoal tray to the arms that move it up and down rustedand the arm on the right side fell off. I also noticed the charcoal tray itself warped so it no longer stays level .And when i put a drip pan on one side for indirect cooking it's a chore to get it to quit teetering back and forth like a see-saw. I have repaired it every time something failed but I am done.I guess it served it's purpose but next time I will invest in a better brand and avoid any grill that has a pull out ash tray or adjustable charcoal tray because those aways seem to fail before the rest of the grill and make it a challenge to use.
