All metal edges (not just the pipe, but the aluminium axle as well) were so poorly tooled that if you accidentally hold it in the wrong place it will slice your hand. The axle looks like it was cut by a blindfolded 6 year old with a blunt hacksaw, literally pieces of metal sticking out ready to splinter you.The item came in three parts:1) the vent pipe with an axle and shutter mounted inside, the shutter has a kind of clear rubberised seal around the circumference and looks like it should work okay2) the 220V electrical actuator block with a square hole that drives the square section axle3) a switch, with extremely useful markings in two languages for those multilingual householdsUnfortunately the actuator simply would not push on to the axle, because the axle was so poorly tooled. I had to get my metal file out and file the thing down.I also used a file to deburr both ends of the pipe, and straighten them up as one mistake in holding or moving it around could lead to a visit to A&E.Terribly quality, but what did I expect for £38?Does it work now? Yes. Will it work after a year? Probably not. A square section aluminium axle driven by a plastic square actuator is bound to fail eventually, maybe I am being overly pessimistic but given the quality control of this item it wouldn't surprise me.

This motorized damper is an incredible solution to a venting issue we have in New York. Every vent we have ever had we have had an issue with rats getting into our laundry room through the dryer vent. They get caught in the dryer and it is just gross also bugs, roaches etc.This is the only solution that totally seals off the dryer vent which where we are is below ground and in New York that means rats and cockroaches make it a freeway into your home. So far nothing has been able to get past this vent damper.It comes with a switch that I just connected to a power strip that senses electric loads. So I have to turn the vent power on then the dryer will turn on. Super easy and an excellent option. We have a 120V dryer so I put a booster fan on it and a 120V dryer drys faster than a 220 volt with the booster fan. This vent closes when its not in use and prevents anything from crawling up into the dryer vent..HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Utilisé pour scindé l'étage et le rez de chaussé pour la vmc double flux afin de rafraichir uniquement les chambres la nuit, en complément d'un interrupteur va et vient, il fait très bien sont boulot.
