GVS SPR456 Elipse P100 Nuisance Dust Half Mask Respirator with replaceable and reusable filters included, M/L Size

Been wearing respirators for a long time. Licensed to abate lead, you need to fit check your gear bro, get those blood lead levels checked, you test high, you don't work. Most comfortable mask I've ever worn for long hours. Doesn't hurt the back of my head and bridge of my nose nearly as much as the old style strap. Filters out particulate and vapors to the max. Tons of visibility and more reasonable profile to wear on the job while protecting yourself.

I live in the Seattle area and everything is on fire right now (2018). I'm using this mask and its really helped. I can't even smell the smoke when I step outside if I wear this mask. If I don't wear the mask, my throat starts to burn and I smell strong smoke smell.The mask description says NIOSH and that its rated at P100. This is what the CDC and US Forest service recommends you look for. They have a pdf saying as much if you Google "wildfire smoke fact sheet: protect your lungs from wildfire smoke or ash."Also, I wear glasses, and the mask is a little awkward with my glasses on, but its totally manageable. Still a great mask and I'm glad I have it.

Got my GVS SPR456 mask today. The box was not sealed and I didn't get the white labelled plastic bag to store the mask in as they show and stated in previous comments. I'm hoping I didn't get someone's Amazon Return and am breathing in someone else's crud, doesn't seems so at this point. Mask fits well, compact, easy to put on. Does restrict breathing somewhat more than I was expecting. Overall ok (as long as it's not a returned product I got). I probably went overkill and could have done with disposable masks but wanted to give this a try, may still go with disposables.

Best respirator I've ever used. I hate the cheap white ones cause they make my face hot when I breathe out. But this thing is amazing. It has a vent that only opens when you exhale so your hot breath doesn't get stuck in the thing and keeps your face cool. It also does keep soldering fume odors out very well. I'll never use another kind again.

I ran with this mask for several weeks when the smoke in my area due to fires was at dangerous levels. The respirator was delivered in two days, fantastic. So I used it the same day. I am doing some demolition on an old house that’s has lath and plaster, and of course nasty, old insulation. I was able to work all day with it on, not uncomfortable at all. Only good air was coming in. I was pleasantly surprised. I also wear glasses and this did not fog up my glasses. A first. Have been in construction for 50 years. I would buy this again for sure. Wish I would have had this years ago.

Had to give 4 stars, great mask ingenious design but not for summer. The elastic band adds incredible comfort but, heavy sweat resistant it is not. I am constantly adjusting the fit, adding more wear and tare on the straps. I work unloading trucks in a 53 foot trailer, temperature is not ideal but doable. So the purpose of this mask for me is strictly for dust, I have had this mask for 1 week if there are accessories for the item I have not looked, this review is for out of the box GVS SPR456.

Got this for the fire smoke and ash.Pro grade. Money does not matter in the situation I went through. Buy the GVS case elsewhere, Amazon's cost is one of the rare prices way out of whack.
