Big on personality, light on content.
I bought Lori's book because I am a fan of her show and secretly think I am a southern girl at heart who was accidentally born in the north. That being said, the book did not disappoint when it comes to Lori being her true self in every word. I would suggest the audio book for people not familiar with her as I'm sure hearing it read by the author gives even more of that Southern flavor that I adore.Honesty is the best policy. And if you walk out of the ladies' room with toilet paper stuck to your shoe, I'm the first to dive for it and get it off of there before you even knew it to save you some embarrassment. That is why I am going to be completely honest and say the book was just too light for me. Light, literally, in that it was much smaller than I expected for the price that it was and also light on content. Being in the "forgotten demographic" that the book was written for, I was disappointed to read a lot of advice that I read everywhere. "Find your purpose. Volunteer. Go back to school. Get your finances in order." That is nothing new or earth shattering and certainly nothing you won't find on every "empty nest" blog or article.Where Lori really shines is when she talks about her victory over breast cancer. This book is perfect for a woman of a certain age who is or has dealt with breast cancer. I would give this book to a woman I know who is fighting that battle and I think the book should have focused more on that very specific audience. Not all of us can buy one or two new "pieces" for our "wardrobe" each month. Not all of us have the vulnerability it takes to make new friends and fight loneliness. The book did not delve into things a lot of us struggle with. Making enough money to have the kind of lifestyle we would like. Fighting trauma and abuse situations. While the book did not delve deep enough into true issues for the majority of women in their 50s and 60s, I did laugh out loud quite a bit, especially when Lori talked about the worst moment of the week, when you have to greet people at church, and about her friend, Monte, who I think everyone should have a best friend just like him.A great gift for a woman going through health challenges but not really a game changer or helpful in my journey.

Heartwarming, Funny and Great Advice
I have been blessed to know Lori Allen for quite a few years. Funny, how two white fluffy dogs can bring two people together. We both lost those fur babies, but have never lost contact. We are friends, but have only been in each others presence, twice! We met for the first time, and so Lori could meet my new fur baby and daughter, at Bridals By Lori. If you meet her, it's like you have been friends your whole life! Our second time with her, Lori got to meet some of our family members, and I got to meet Lori's new fur baby. Lori picked out the most beautiful wedding gown for our daughter, it was a beautiful day! Lori made this a very special day for our family, and Monte was a very special surprise!I couldn't wait to get Lori's book, I even got the audio version! I loved listening to Lori, hearing her emotions and and how funny she can be. I laughed and cried.I say we have met, and been friends and keep in contact, but do I know everything about Lori??? No, I don't, and that is why this book is even better.Seriously, get the book and get the audio! Lori shares a lot of amazing "life" in her book. And boy, did some of what she had to say hit home with me, as I am sure it will with you!You won't be disappointed, you may have a whole new outlook on life and what you would like to see is, "next" for you!! Y'all enjoy, "Say Yes To What’s Next!"

A must read for ladies of a certain (or any) age!
Say Yes To What's Next is a must read for not only women over fifty, but ALL women! Once I started, I couldn't put it down. Her style is so engaging I forget I was reading a book and felt more like I was sitting and chatting with Lori.In a society that still tends to devalue women over fifty, Lori reminds us that we still have much to offer, to learn, and to share. Her chapters on the value of self care and rediscovering ourselves and our value are words we need to hear. Lori's candid talk on her personal battle with breast cancer is inspirational. Filled with wit, humor, insight, and southern charm, I highly recommend Say Yes To What's Next!

Just what I needed!
I am 56 and, like Lori, am not ready to retire or take a back seat in life. Her inspiring book validated my feelings and confirmed that there is a lot more that I can - should - and will do! I love Lori's authenticity and felt like I was having a conversation with a close friend who was sharing so much relatable advice. I laughed, I cried and I spent time jotting down notes and ideas on how to FULLY live the second half of my life. If you haven't ordered this book yet - I highly recommend you do. It is a life changer!

Lori hits the nail on the head!
Thank you Lori for speaking for those of us in the stage of invisible service in life. I cried quite a bit reading this book because I felt like there is someone out there who understands how I feel and is cheering me on. Great read for those of us who are too young to be old and too old to be young. You've given us purpose and something to look forward to. A million thanks Lori Allen!

Every woman needs to read this amazing book!
I am a fan of SYTTD and ordered this book to get a glimpse of what Lori is about. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough to see what was next. She touches on subjects of being a woman that we all need to think about and consider; especially during a time that we are all wondering "whats next"...... I highly recommend this book. It would be a great gift and also a great book club read. Thank you Lori for such an awesome book!

Inspiring book!!!
I just celebrated my 57th birthday and was super inspired by this book. It’s a great motivator to all women that we still have a lot of life left in us!!! We will not be forgotten or left behind. Thank you Lori for writhing this book and putting down the words to many feelings we all have as women over 50. Can’t recommend this enough!!!!

It is an encouragement for all women!!
I got the book from preorder and I am reading it for the second time. Lori speaks to every little thing that I have had insecurities over, stressed over and thought about. Her advice is spot on and I feel like I am no longer the only one out there. Thank you for writing this guide for us women!!

An interesting read.
I really enjoyed reading this book. I found it interesting how Lori Allen shares her faith and experiences. Even though this book may not have been directed at my age group I found it really helpful and encouraging. Thank you Lori for sharing your life with your readers. God bless you and your family.I am, however, disappointed and unimpressed with the way it was delivered. It was thrown over the fence. Thankfully it didn't rain or it would've been badly damaged.
