Great value!
Such a fun extra thing you can do to add a personal touch to any card. It’s fun and you can get creative with adding ribbons. The “wax” is actually a type of hot glue that is gold in color. It is durable for mailing looks great. The spoon holder and spoon are very heavy and high quality. The only real negative thing I can say, is the lack of thorough instructions. There are instructions with photos, but they leave out a lot of details. Here are a couple of tips that will help you be more successful:1. Lightly coat the stamp with a little Vaseline before you use it each time.2. Have a paper towel or tissue ready to wipe the edge of the spoon on after pouring. This is so that you don’t make a mess of the holder when you put it back.3. If you don’t let the melted wax cool a bit before you apply it to the envelope it will bubble up. I find it most effective to let it cool a little, and then right before pouring heat the spoon a bit first. This will help produce a cleaner pour without bubbling.4. Take a sharpie and mark the underside of the stamp so that you will know what is straight Wall stamping.

Missing spoon
No spoon for the wax to melt in. Had to purchase separately. Everything else was there. Just can't use til I get the spoon.Meant 4 stars, originally. I have fixed it.

So easy and beautiful!
This was my first time ever using a wax seal and it was so easy and made my wedding invitations pop! The color was beautiful and the wax melted and poured so easily. I’ve been looking for excuses to wax seal things ever since lolIt’s easy to clean and easy to store since it’s a small kit. But that’s not a bad thing by any means. It perfect!

Amazing.
The media could not be loaded. I've been into pen palling my whole life, and got into using wax seals a few years ago thanks to a friend gifting some Harry Potter World Florida souvenirs.Over the past couple years, I've hated using a lighter to melt all the wax because it just wastes lighters, so I decided to finally go for a melt-in-spoon option. I found this product after much research on Amazon -- it was honestly the best value I could find. You get every single thing you need, including 300 beads! If you were to buy the spoon and wooden component separately, it's about $11 by itself, and you can't find 300 wax beads for $6 anywhere.I received it one-day later after purchasing, and I couldn't believe how much well it works. The wax beads are adorable. The metal part of the wood was warmer was all scratched, and honestly the packaging was pretty bad, but everything is in good enough condition that I wanted to keep it. I put 3 beads in the spoon and waited for it to melt. Flawless. I don't know why others have complained about the wood burning.... if you put the flame directly under the spoon, there is no reason for the flame to get the wood parts.Melting was fast and clean. I just love the quality of this set so much and can't recommend it enough!

So much fun!
My daughter got me a wax stamp (The Welsh Dragon) for Christmas this year. I then bought this wax melter to use with it. Valentine's Day provided the first opportunity to use it. Cards for my significant other were sealed with the wax, and the stamp. It was easy to use, fun, and worked exactly as described. You can still send wax sealed letters via the USPS (Special Handling). It's expensive compared to a regular envelope, but I think my daughter has a wax sealed card in her future! One caution - cleaning the spoon needs to be done with caution. I did touch one of the metal surfaces. They remain hot for a significant period of time. Be careful!
