Compare favorably to Thule
Recently got these to replace Thule straps I've been using constantly for years. Some comparisons: Much thinner than the Thule (but no doubt adequate for holding a kayak). Better stitched than the Thule. Does not seem to absorb water or stretch when wet as much as the Thule. Much cheaper. The bumpers are nice. I would rather buy NRS which is trusted in paddlesports across the country than some Chinese Amazon knock off brand garbage.

NRS stuff is the best
We've always used NRS straps for whatever we need, but I specifically bought these ones with the bumpers so that I could secure a surfboard without having to worry about the buckle damaging the board. They work great - the bumpers protect the board and the hardware cinches down super tight. They're everything I expect from NRS and they never disappiont!

High Quality Product
I ordered these to replace another brand ordered from Amazon several years ago. The older straps seamed to fall apart after several years of use. I think the UV rays go to it. I use these to hold up our hot tub cover when the hot tub is in use. We need two things for any straps: UV protection and strength. The hot tub cover absorbs moisture from the hot water in the tub increasing its weight a lot and the sun beats down on the straps all day. These straps seem to be of a much higher quality then our previous brands. The have been in 95+ deg. heat for several days in a row several times and show not discoloration or damage at all. Time will tell but it looks good so far.

I only gave it 4 stars only because I haven't used it enough to know of they start slipping after a few months like so many other similar styled straps I've tried. So far, so good. I bought the 9' and they tie down my kayak but with not much left over to make a safety tie. So I'll be returning these and ordered them in 12'.

Easiest straps I've ever used
You don't need a degree to figure out how these work. If you've ever worn a seatbelt, you already know how to use these. Very sturdy and strong. We use them on our e-bike rack on the back of the car. SOLID!
