It should, if your garmin device can pair with external devices, Tickr has BLE and ANT+ (Garmin natural connection) capabilities

Q: Does it track mileage if worn during running or walking?

Yes. The heart monitor transmits your movement to the app, and the app tracks the mileage. You need to have the monitor in connection with the app (with your cell phone) while you are running or walking, which is no big deal.

Q: Does it beep when yhe heart rate is too high?

The strap has to be paired to another device or your smartphone. It is the paired device that would beep if the device has that ability.

Q: Would anyone wear this for jiu jitsu?

I would think so. Once you strap the hr in, you won’t feel it in place (I use it for bike rides and treadmill runs). It should hold well in place. It has some button snaps that will secure the heart rate and I don’t think it’s going to snap off of you. I guess, overtime the buttons might wear off, but I cannot attest to that, since I only have had the heart rate for a little over a month.
