Revlon Frost and Glow Highlights, Chestnut, 16 Ounces (Pack of 3)

I really like these highlighting kits. At first I used just the bleach to do a ombre effect on my lower hair. Then I decided to use the highlighting cap and actually add some highlights. Its pretty easy to use. I left the bleach on my darker brown hair for about 30 minutes. It left me with a nice carmel colored highlight. Its natural and not too obvious. I think I'll buy more if I need to re-highlight my hair again.

purchased on line since some stores are not carrying this product any longer----so ordered in bulk since I do my own coloring. It lasts about 5-6 weeks and this is with washing daily

this is time consuming, but the cap works well. i have used this product multiple times without issue. i have dark brown hair, left on for 20 minutes and got golden blonde highlights. during repeat uses i have left for up to 30 minutes and gotten a slightly lighter blonde result. i found it lightens your natural color quicker than areas that have already been highlighed - so when "rehighlighting" it came out fairly even - just end up with more blonde areas than dark/natural on the second round.

So I have had really bad bleaching experiences before and was nervous about this but did my research on the product and was excited to try it if you have dark hair and want to lighten like ombre or highlight without getting crazy brassy this is your solution hands down I have not found a better product for job I will buy again loved it. This was the first ever highlighting kit I have ever used. I actually researched highlighting kits before purchasing it from CVS and some fashion magazine (Glamor or Allure I can't recall) ranked it pretty high. First, using the cap is very hard since I wanted to use all the circled holes which was almost impossible to do. I used a hand held mirror and stood in front of my bathroom mirror. It is so hard to get all of the back holes especially since my hair is pretty long. Secondly, I performed the strand test 5 min. into waiting and saw that it was getting pretty light so I decided to wait an additional 5 min. I thought that would be enough time but after I used the provided shampoo, conditioner and blow dried my hair I saw no difference in my hair. I saw a review on CVS' website and another person had the same problem but left it on for 60 min. (the maximum time recommended in directions). I guess it would not have mattered if I waited longer. Such a bummer since I spent about 2 hours highlighting my hair with no happy end result. Maybe I should contact Revlon.

I found this stuff off a hair tutorial by the country singer Jessie James on YouTube and she used this colour. I followed her tutorial exactly and it looks really awesome, nothing but compliments! Very happy with this product..

I've tried to find this on-line and it seems to be discontinued. I tried another similar kit by Revlon but the highlights are slightly more platinum than golden.
