Q: How do you clean it? (And are parts dishwasher safe?)

You have to wipe with damp cloth rather than submerge in water. I use soft side of scourer with washing up liquid and rinse the inner part under running tap and then wipe dry. It’s really easy to clean

Q: how wide is the machine?

It is quite large. 32cm high 28cm wide 28cm deep.

Q: Can I order it with a EU plug?

Currently the vortex is only available with a fixed U.K. plug - a EU version will be available in 2021

Q: do you need to check on food half way to get crispy chips or not?

It is pre-set to beep half way to remind you to turn food. With chips you have to keep giving them a good shake. I don’t really use it for chips but love this air fryer. It has almost made my microwave redundant. We use every day and it’s brilliant to re- heat food especially things like stale doughnuts or croissants . It’s fast too so you have to keep eye on food.
